Well, I am finally tired of this bullshit I have been seeing lately.

Mainly along the long standing arguement, that classic players are better than 2001 players, and vice-versa.


Why does it matter so much? Classic is rarely brought up on these forums, and I don't see people just going around bashing classic unless someone comes on here and starts bashing 2001.

Unfortuantly, classic has it's really bad players. The people who play on classic are generally the ones who use "u" "r" and "y" in place of actual words.

Sorry, but this is true. You can not deny the majority of classic players talk like that. I'm not saying everyone does, but enough do. Anyway, moving on.

Now a lot of 2001 players talk, more normally but are prone to talking really stupidly sometimes, as a joke. This leads newer people to try to immatate this, and now it is not even funny really to say things like "ocool" and the like, that Spi was prone to do. I talk like that sometimes, in the manner of joking. Because I was around back when it was being done as a joke and before it was the "cool" thing or whatever to do.

Ah, how I love to rant sometimes. It's so fun, and I do it so much in real life. Anyway.

Classic players come on here and call 2001 elitests, and say that classic staff works harder and classic players make much better staff...so who is the one who is being elitest?

Granted some 2001 players do go onto classic thinking that they will instantly get a job, and who knows? Maybe some people could.

2001 does have talented people working for it, but so does classic. Which server you work for is based on personal taste I guess. The level style are completely different on each server.


Eh...where was I? Oh yes.

Anyway, whatever server you play on doesn't automaticly mean you will be good for administration then others. There are notable 2001 players who go on to make good administration on classic, like Lyndzey. She's a former 2001 Police Chief, and now she's GP Chief on classic, and I don't hear complaints. Dark Cloud plays both servers and he's classic FAQ Chief. Now, granted as well some of the better people in administration have come from classic, like SnakeEyes, and Kyle among others. But, 2001 have their good people as well, such as Birdbird, Loriel (back when he was a manager) and Agelaos.

I play on both servers, and playerworlds as well. Other people do too. Unfortuantly no one wants to give another server much of a chance.

For classic people, they don't like 2001 because it's not as large as classic, and the levels are much different, as 2001 is a much more lush, and green place. And if one bad thing happens or they run into one or two bad people on 2001 they assume everyone is like that, then go and call everyone corrupt, and therefore make themself automaticly biased forever against 2001 and it's players. 2001 people sometimes do the same thing. But honestly, let's face it: people like to be where their friends are. No one wants to play on a server that none of their friends play on.


I guess, in conclusion just try and stop the fightning and be a tad bit more tolerable and open minded towards the players of each server. Both servers are uniqe and different from each other, just as the players. Playing on one does not make you better then someone who plays on the other. Thinking so, is as stupid as assuming that you are better than a "newbie" simply because you have played longer then them. I've only been playing for a year now. So anyone else who has been playing longer than me is somehow more intelligent, wittier, and generally a better player than I? See how stupid that sounds? Almost as stupid as calling classic players "freeloaders".

The players of both servers make the game. Without the players this game would not exist. And as most people played classic before they decided to upgrade for 2001 (like myself, as I played classic for several months or more before upgrading) without classic and those players there would be no reason to have made 2001 or anything else. Supply and demand almost. A lot of people play classic, so something new and "better" is made to attract more players.

Funny thing I find about 2k1 players is that they'll complain so much about certain staff and when someone from Classic does it they get all "NO HE"S AWESOME STAFF" Just had to say it cause it's hilarious ;) Not a shot at 2k1 players or anything.

Alkaren, why do you write up all this stuff that nobody REALLY deeply cares about? Let the idiots argue, let the smart people be humble. All players are the same, even people who play on that lame server Providence, like Jeff.

The only thing that I hate about classic is how many uber lame NPCs there are x.x I play on both servers myself, but mainly 2k1 and 2k2 cause in Classic, it's common to be lamed by NPCs, but on 2k1 and 2k2, NPC laming, doesn't really matter o_O;; It doesn't do as much damage.

Do you think that, for possibly 5, maybe 10 minutes, you could stop expressing such stupid blind hatred due to the fact that Loriel didn't want your "ENDELS MINEZ OF DOOOM" up?

Loriel never did anything to me. I was the one who always IMed him when he had "DND OR BAN" stuff like that, nothing ever happened. Geesh, you guys are fools.

Yes, Loriel did that, but Loriel also did a lot of things, Alkaren and Ghost Pirate I will only hate as long as they aren't up, but I will NEVER stop hating Loriel.

YES. Calling Classic players "freeloaders" makes me mad. Did you people who call Classic players freeloaders ever stop to think, that maybe their parents don't have a credit card, or are too young to have one themself?

Yes i agree with you alkaren , also a majority of the classic players on 2k2 try to RP , but theres still ones on there that come upto you and say "oi bish you my [racist comment]" or attack then hide in water and say they "0wned" or "pwned" you

I haven't seen much RPing on 2k2.

There are three kinds of people.
Classic newbies. Similar to AOL chat. "OMG do u want 2 be my bf"
It used to be that, but with the pricing, all the lamers left, so this isn't quite as common.
2k1/2k2 newbies. The biggest of them all. Call everybody possible newbies, try to get sympathy by saying "OMG x STOLE MY IRON!"
Not newbies. Rare.

I take it that this post was mainly pointed at the account of RobinX? Possibly Konidias, since, or so I have heard, he gripes a lot. Maybe Googi, but he's been doing somewhat better.

I never said that I didn't like classic players. I like the 2K2 players that came from classic, their unstrategical selves give me free help when I'm mining.

Wow, you mean even though I typed the correct number of "do's" for the Batman theme you still felt the urge to give me a 1? Boy you people are ruthless. Here, have a 5 and take a breather.

I just don't see why these classic people come here and say they have so much better and hard working staff. There is only a few people on classic that actually can do a job, and that's tyhm and his group of LATs. (when they're not being lazy) How hard is it really to be a GP? You answer PMs and click a few buttons to jail/unjail, ect, ect. It's not very hard...

Actually, the GC team does a damn good job with what they do and they usually put a lot of time and effort in what they do.

Ironically, Tyhm's hooked on 2k2 while they rest of his team are now on vacation or something for a time.

The only complaint I have about 2k1 players besides all things stated is the fact that most of them that use the voicechat function have high-pitched voices and they hold the button down for hours. That or they play music through the voicechat function and hold down the button for hours. Opening profile to mute all of those idiots take a while.

The only voicechat problem I have seen with Classic, which isn't really a problem anymore, was that one guy running around calling everyone a **** and crashing everyone's Graal before the new rev came out.

Really, I was on good terms til that Graal Classic man came in. The Elitists versus the Pains in the A** analzyers.

Not really, but that's the impression. Stefan wouldn't have hired Loriel if he wasn't on G2K1 all the time, which I believe was Phantasm's main argument. New stuff comes out for G2K1 and G2K2, doesn't seem like we get so many cool features on Classic.

'course, we don't need 'em either. We're hardcore that way. It would be nice if Unixmad checked his mail more often so we could smooth out the staff situations, as all GMs have been apparently disbanded and nobody has the power to do anything useful...

Is Zorro still the main global GM? I think Galen is at least the GM over Classic. I know Zorro's been having "issues" in real life, but he hasn't really been helping out much even back when he was a bit more active. :( And Ben told me he was only suppose to be gone for a week; haven't seen him in almost two weeks...

Speaking of hats, I never understood the hat-craze on 2k1. But it's a pretty good system to contribute to the virtual economy, I think. I know for a fact that the craze won't spread like wildfire on Classic (where currency hides under weed and bushes), and I can't imagine it working for 2k2...
