Graal 2002 Staff Hirings?
 

When Graal 2002 finally comes out will you guys be looking for Police/Game Moderators?

If so what will you base your hiring on?

I do not think that they will hire police but there will probrably be some sort of staff that'll need hiring.

I remember them saying there won't be a police force, but if they do happen to hire, I will probably try.

I can be the only Police FAQ Admin ANd player, teh server Namp Vamp 2003!

We don't need any staff, this is an RP server and should be treated as such

By time 2002 comes out it will be outdated by Graal 2003. Which in turn wont come out till 2004 and then will be outdated by Graal 2004. And the cycle continues...

However, I would hate to see Graal 2004 cuz graal seems to get cheesier with every new version that comes out.

I definately think that there should be no cheasy staff-- The RP Staff names sound cool. But I think any "Staff" that is on 2002 should be obligated to RP as a public servant, e.g. Banning = Banishing etc... Keep it real, and don't ruin the atmospher before it even gets off the ground :)

I think "1337 PK3rZ" should just not be tolorated on 2002, if we start letting OCC PKing on 2002, it will turn into a PK server like classic and 2001. :(

2001 Was never really that big of a PK server. Aside from a few individuals. How exactly would you plan on stopping them. Jailing, Banning? They bann you on Val for pking which is just stupid. They tried jailing jailing pkers on Prov which was stupid because you had police who got run ragged trying to do there job. Personally I would wait and see if it becomes an issure before I would worry about it.

If you wait for it to become an issue it will, and then it will be hard to get rid of-- it's like telling someone "O.K. Do whatever you want!" and then coming back "Uhm, do what ever you want, but don't PK." do you think anyone will listen to that? But if you make it clear from the start "Have fun, be respectful, RP, You PK.. You DIE!" then there are less problems...

There should be a system, like if multipul people report a player pking there should be a quick investigation and if the person has been PKing, warn them and send them to a web page listing the Rules to make sure they are aware of them... second time, Jail for a month, third time, ban.

I like my idea of the kingdoms setting up their own police force sort of..Cept of course they wouldn't be called Police..Given some old style name or something. :O

Nothing was ever done about it on 2k1 and it hasnt become that big a deal. Only spot there is really alot of pking is to the left of the admin house.

RPG's don't work well unless everyone RP's (hence the name.) Fighting on Graal isn't really outstanding to begin with... If you want a PKing game go play Medal of Honor, CS, Quake, or something, at least those have more realistic fighting :)

It's in Graal's best interest to keep 2002 as an RP server.

Well if you stand there in that area all the time. ;) generally I dont find pking that big a problem. Normally if you keep moving away they stop. What I hate is when a pker attacks you the runs off and heals when he gets his ass kicked.

Personally, I like the idea of forced RP. You want PKing? Go somewhere else; there's no shortage of players over at Classic or Graal2001... Anyway, true RPGs don't work if you have complete freedom. Imagine what Final Fantasy or Zelda would be like if you could kill off all the main characters whenever you wanted. :rolleyes:

We could have things like Priests and Mages to enforce rules in specific kingdoms. And we could have server-wide law enforcers.. like, in the US, there's the FBI for overseeing the whole country, and there's regional police departments for each area. Just give them some more old-fashioned names. Administrator could become Executioner, for example. :D
