Fallen Angelz : Review
 

...I have to say, the owners of this playerworld have certainly thought of a 'unique' name...


Pow. 261 levels, and an onlinestartlocal.graal. I start off, and the onlinestartlocal's floor is a bit too white. It doesn't even look like it's properly tiled; and all of the knights (each of them are conviniently named "Knights") are standing there as if they're statues. Same with the owners/co-owners... what the heck are they doing there? If they're statues, make them grey or something! Up on top is the sacred flame which is guarded by the four goddesses... okay... the only odd thing is, is that the four goddesses are gralats!

I walk outside, and the grass looks like somebody used the fill command in paint on a white slab. There are several predefined icons sprinkled about here and there, and a sign in which a tiny bit of the text goes out of the canvas. There's a warp ring in the middle of the dirt path/walk way, which seems odd to me. Who would just drop a warp ring in the middle of the path? In a pretty bold design, there are flowers that resemble the words "Fallen Angelz". Okay... if you want to make a little banner like that, try to make an original one.

As I continue walking around, the levels still aren't all that great compared to the ones we see now. Almost all of the levels I walked around in contained the same pattern; PREDEFINED TREE, PREDEFINED ROCK, and some manual swamp tiles. There's one level where there's a little fenced out area with rocks and that unliftable sign blocking it. The sign says
"Need lv.3 glove to get the lv.4 boomerang." All I'm wondering about is just where the boomerang is; there's nothing inside the area. http://www.scalperonline.net/psyker/reviewing/fa2.gif

I then stumble upon Xanth Town, the forgotten city! I'm guessing the word "Xanth" means "BEWARE, TILE ERROR GALORE!" There are trees in what seems to be city-walkway tiles. Anything that has green on it seems like it's about to die because all of the walkway tiles suck it up. And what the heck is this? http://www.scalperonline.net/psyker/reviewing/fa3.gif

I don't really like how you have all the NPCs behind simple obstacles. For example, "you need a level 3 glove to lift up this rock to get the boomerang" It's like you guys just slacked off and didn't think of anything interesting to put for quests.

And I also didn't like how everything is found by following a sign. I mean, when will you let the player explore for themselves?

(I'm probably going to add more and more pictures to help the reader find out how to improve in my reviews more often.)

Haha, oh boy, I bet this server was one of those "Let's make a server for my kewl guild *rox*" and they quickly slapped something together overnight because they were bored.

nice review, are Psyker and Jinx the only two people who review PlayerWorlds?

Vermain's a reviewer too, not so sure if people are aware of that.

Now I'm waiting until Stefan finishs the new stuff to put Maloria up... Perhaps it will be in this weekend but I'm not sure...

I've heard alot about this server, i hope it gets up soon, and you better hope it's worth my while... *rubs shotgun* :D

i like the second screen, you guys are so critical, BEEN PLAYING 2001 TOO LONG, USED TO THE STUPID JUNGLE FEEL, i am hateing to see you on 2002, like OO 2001S BETTER THAN THIS BECASUE I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS BEFORE

The people who made must feel really dumb.

I got hired as a LAT for this server a long while ago. (About 3 or so months before I upgraded) I think I made a level or two...not sure, eventually I just stopped hearing from them

they need regard...
You can say the errors a server has.. But u dont need to destroy them.. Say a good point and a bad one..
