Soccer stadium updated
 

The soccer field in the soccer stadium (left of bomboria, near the go karts) has been updated, it's using now a gmap, meaning it works much better and less laggy. If you have ideas for improving it, then submit them, will be good to make good working soccer before the world championship starts :)

Yes, I think we all want you to be working on 2k2 and leave working on 2k1 for all those staff members lying around.

Ya know people, he did something good to improve what we have so you should be thankful.

It would be better if 2k2 went up tomorrow. Pretty much everyone is a bit sore over that delay, and understandably so.

It's not understandable because he is doing something that we should thank him about. It doesn't matter what he did for us he did something for it and should be grateful.

I think Stefan is doing small things for 2001 so people try not to think about 2002 as much.
Since its not ready yet he's still trying to keep "us" happy by adding stuff.

Good lord. Stefan does something nice for you all and you all want more. Hmm. So can we use GMaps without the 3D terrain? If so then why isn't the whole of G2K1 going to be converted across to them?

We could test that, i would say there will be some bugs because the scripts still expect the 64x64 level thing, but a lot of things are changed anyway so it could work

mmmmkay: Hmm, I'm sorta uneducated on this subject, on 2k2 right now it loads pics1.png, and those blocking tiles block you I THINK (yea, think.) But I just loaded my GMAP in the editor, with pics1.png, and I walked over them, so I don't know =\

Gmaps can now have blocking tiles, although holding the tiles informations takes some memory
(for the dungeons on graal2001 its for each dungeon 16x16*64*64*2byte = 2MByte)

I can edit the gmap in the soccer field so i can walk on walls :( It doesn't download the map again if I still have it. You dont even need terrain editor. As you can easily put random seeds and level height numbers in it =\
