New Rank Structure
I am making a new rank strcuture, due to the fact we have outgrown the old one. Kamuii and other officials will be helping me make it, but it will be much more complex, something that was similar to Kamuii's old one, but hopefully will fit with the style of 2k2. A lot of people have also been asking for me to add certain ranks like archer and guard back, so I will do so. I'll post the completed thing later on

Good.
Alot of people will stop complaining then. |

For the last time, it's the Council of Sages! I made it so I should get to name it!

Very nice. Now, how about those rank descriptions?
|
What jobs do you need descriptions of?

On a side note, the "secret service" desperately needs a new name. |

Not sure about the Paladin, but I think it's the same as Field Marshal because Henry was that before (I think.)... And you have a point about the Secret Service needing a new name... |
Paladins are higher then commanders, but he too must obey the orders of the Field Marshall. The Paladin's main reponsibility is as a hybrid class of healer and warrior-fighting and healing those who are wounded. First and foremost in paladins is defense of others, then defense of self, then agressian and offense. I will try to get a seat for whoever becomes the Paladin on the Sage Council
|
Oh don't worry. We won't have people running around with Secret Service tags. They will be very well intergrated with the Dustari community, you might not even notice them.
And I'll make those rank descriptions as soon as possible. |
I like the new rankings, but really some of them seem not needed.

Yes, I know they will not have tags, but the name calls up images of those charged with protecting the president of the United States . At the very least, the name could sound a little more medieval. |
that Druid and Shaman both should be removed it doesn't fit
|
It's already been made into a Tag, but it's not Secret Service, it's a Latin One.

The Paladin takes orders from the Field Marshal and the King. He has some control over commanders, but I believe that is more of a "following this suggestion is a good idea" type of "control," and not a direct orders type of control. The Paladin does have the ability to give orders to the ranks in the military below commanders. If a conflict of whose orders are superior, I do believe the Paladin's are; but again, please Henry or Kamuii correct me if I'm wrong on that one, because I want to be clear on it as well. |

Jeff: *RP ALERT* Ghost is right...shaman, druid, et cetera don't fit Dustari. Wizards barely fit, but the paganest of the pagans don't belong in what appears to be a nation with a state religion (of Stefanism or somewhat i think). |
I tried ranks, but they failed horribly in Karakaze :)

Update on the rank structure:
The rank structure posted here earlier will no longer be put to use, although it can be serve as a guideline for house leaders. This means, if you see a Swordsman and a Soldier, then they may be of equal rank. The reason being is because of the house system. People who lead each house will deal with their members on an individual basis, and ask me to change their tags accordingly. I can't have 5 people asking to me to join Dustari, another 5 asking for promos, and another 5 getting families, as well as a few more talking to me in the throne room. The second reason is to keep enforcing the roles of families. The original reason they were created was to put groups of people into the house. That means, most mages should be in the Silverburg family, scientists and holy mages at Durimes etc. If people want changes crossing between mystics to military, then we've got a problem. The final reason is for people to stop asking for promotions. Take a title you like, whetter it be Fire Mage, Soldier, Cavalier, Warrior, whatever and stick with it. Don't keep changing evey 2 days or so. This doesn't mean that the Commanders of house leaders are on equal terms with others, but I'm talking about the general military, magi and workers. |
shouldn't there be a "peasant" familiy? where people who arent a member of any of the families belong, like the peasents?

Jeff: The Graalian setting is at a loss for magic, it seems. How many magi are there in newmain, outside of the kingdoms? I guess a bit of magic fits though. So the magic is okay. However, all this business with the druids and shamans doesn't even fit Dustari religion as far as I can tell. Internal RP contradiction, with the older example (religion) taking precedence. QED. |
Oi, dude, the druids and shamans are supposed to be an alternate path of spirituality, not one that follows the normal path.
