Trump Card!

I'm pretty sure many of you are aware that I rarely update my PW...but don't worry, the lack of updates should be apparent to some that I'm working on something big.

And as an appetizer, here is something I've worked on for my little project :D

Looks nice, hope to see it when it's done. How long do you think it will take for you to finish this little, big project?

Aside from no windows, that house is otherwise finished :)

the shading is a little werid..

but I like it :)

Snappledragon 04-10-2002 11:21 AM

Now that you said it, I would say 2. The values on it are extreamly weird, one side being completly yellow, the sunrays must be very heavy.

And the graal characters would not match with it.

freddyfox 04-10-2002 12:17 PM

The roof looks a bit odd. It's slightly larger on the left side then on the right side.

Yoshi when ever you come up with something new it is always good this is no exception :D
Keep up the good work one day DK will be done :D and the players will enjoy the great amount of work you have put into it :D

-_- well, I suppose if you want it to look all one color and thus...look flat I suppose that's better than taking the time to make it look a little more 3D :p

if you make everything on your playerworld 3d, it may just be called Graal 3d :p

Problem with using tiles with so many tiles is it becomes almost impossible to make them tesselate... so you may run into troubles.

For those of you who don't know, tesselate means match up at the edges.

Psyker 04-11-2002 07:12 AM

I'll have to agree, the roof does look a bit odd...

The roof looks like it's just a filter 0.o What kinda roof is it? wooden? Hay?

slick_soul 04-11-2002 09:37 AM

The roof does look a little weird but thanks to good ol bakcpal picsgold you can still make surroundings that can make it seem right.

Who said it was going to be tranlated into tiles?

And I never even opened Photoshop or PSP once to do this house...it's just a simple texture of fog since I don't have anything that looks like a thatched roof.

i am no graphic genius (as you can see by my sig) but maybe if you put little lines on the roof so it looked like planks? it would look better then, but having just ONE BIG FLAT piece of wood is sorta werid

Ehem, if you haven't figured it out by now, it's not supposed to be wood...hence the straw-like yellow color...

If I wanted it to be a wooden roof (which I don't) I would have used colors and tones that are of wood and even a tree or wooden plank texture
