Power lines - Question on canwarp/2
I'm working on my own version of the "Powerlines" npc script posted in NPC Scripting...
But i have a few questions about the P2P side of it... Which would I use to allow the npc to move between levels (when it's on a track) canwarp or canwarp2 ? Or does it REALLY matter? :D Also, does it need to be serverside or clientside? (I'm thinking serverside, cause clientside would display for one client. There's no real way I can test this script between multiple levels, but i'd like to include this in there for the person who wants it... Thanks in advance... |
canwarp2 is what you want and you want it serverside but it will only work as an NPC On the NPC List from NC, otherwise it wont work.

Is canwarp the function that warps the NPC to the designated x,y co-ordinates on a link in the level, or is that canwarp2. I simply forgot. ;\ |
The main difference between the canwarp and canwarp2 commands is that if the NPC uses canwarp it will take all level links, while if it's using canwarp2 it'll only take the usual extremely large links at the border of a level.

Thanks a bunch guys... (Maybe sometime I'll actually be able to test this :D, but for now...my two playerhouses in one level is fine for me ;) )
If you want to see it, pm me for the link to the zip on my site...I'd like to see if it would work correctly. (Right now, the lines are up to 40+ npcs in one level :P ) |
