I noticed this on 2k1, I am probably asking a quesiton that everyone knows the answer to cause I am an idiot...but here, whats it?

System thing.

It's a wacky bar which makes the text announcements thingy look somewhat neater, and bigger.

Try jumproping or using Draisine off of tracks. ;)
It gets really big after a while and never minimizes... :(
Took up half of the screen for me. *sniff*

It minimized for me when I tested it a few hours ago.
Weird.

It's fine for a while, but after the like 20th message, it grows really large, lags like hell, then stays that way. I had to log off of Graal2001 to get it fixed. :(

When I first saw it I thought it was an error. I like it like that, it gives those text messages more attention because they were more difficult to see in black

Would people prefer if the bar disappears completely when it minimises? And also, I wish I could help with the never-minimising problem, but I've never seen it happen for myself. I need some data if I'm gonna debug it.

I'd prefer if it disappeared completely, it also looks somewhat more professional (After all, in an FPS with a movable part of the HUD it also completely disappears).
Plus the little bar at the bottom of the screen looks somewhat ugly if it stays there.
