Color coded script?

I'm sure this has been brought up before, but why isn't scripting color coded? Like it would be nice to be able to set an option in the npc editor to have it auto color code your stuff..

Like, variable declarations in black, if statements in green, comments in blue, errors in red, etc.

Kind of like other scripting languages do. :)

Maybe even have npc server only stuff be a different color, so you know what needs an npc server and also to find the npc server parts of your script easily

Good Idea... ;)

I gave him this idea long time ago.. The background should be black like the Pascal. And it should have a Search button.
Maybe hold Ctrl and click in a function and show where the function is... Or just write "this." and it opens a list with all used variables you just have to choose, like Delphi. Maybe a button that show the next "//" as "#" in html.. Ah.. and save Last 10 Ctrl+Zs.. so it would be perfect..

Krakken made something like that.
Gimmie 2 mins I'll get the URL.

Got it.
It's only basic with the colour bits but I'm sure if you give him idea's he'll update it if he knows how to do it and has time to do it.

This is something different; this is an automattically handled process by the program itself, and involves no player input whatsoever.
That makes this idea far more useful, and valid.

umm

As helpful as it would be...i think it would be annoying. If it is added, please add an option or something (maybe a checkbox) to colour code or not.

On another note....something like this has already been made, just not directly into the graal client. I dled some program before that color coded, and did all that fancy stuff before, and it had an export button that pasted it all into the graal client's current NPC edit window. I forget what it was called or where i got it, but it's out there somewhere.

It is a GOOD idea, but I don't like it.

Sounds like you have mixed emotionc, however I have a feeling it will take a long time to add such a feature, don't hold your breath.
