Suicide being joked about?
 

i think that anyone that like says *dies* *shoots himself* or jokes about anything to do with suicide should be banned...suicide is not funny...i jus read the article "http://www.jsonline.com/news/state/mar02/31536.asp" and i was so sad...you never know when your friend will commit suicide...i think that what brad says about "*kills*" in the graal dieing 2003 thread should be banable...if any of you should joke about suicide or remark that people who commit suicide are losers are "losers" then please dont say it because a long time ago i would almost attempt suiside....if i were to think that someone would be so self centered to call a dead person names....is just wrong...take this in consideration "You get hooked on a online game and you try to quit but you cant and you fall into its wrath and it kills you by suicide" Please no flaming such as "Your a lamer"....because if anyone says anything like suicide is funny then i will go off on you and im not in a good mood...this is why i think making fun of suicide or saying anything like it should be permently bannable or be warned... P.S.: reminder im in a bad mood and anything you say that is cold hearted a will go off on you and it wont look pretty.

I agree with this... Suicide IS wrong, I'm not afraid to admit I've contempted atleast twice, decapitation and stabbing my wrist.. I never could penetrate my wrist with a plastic fork (I was at school) nor could I decapitate myself with my sword (it's rather difficult).
Suicide should NOT be joked about....
But sometimes we cannot help but feel enlightened by people (newbies) that come on graal and say "If you don't give me 1000G I'm gonig to hang myself!" then 20 minutes later say "i'm not joking"
Not that we 'laugh' at this all the time, I for one take these threats lightly, we as a graalian community can do nothing if we don't know where the suicidal person is.

As far as Brad saying *kills* or me saying DIE.... it's only considered a threat if it is referred to coldly and without apparent cause, and if, say, Brad said "DIE KAELINK" to me.... I wouldn't worry, besides, all he knows is I live somewhere in Western Kentucky.

im just saying that he is joking about killing himself even if he wouldn't.....joking about people who die over being depressed and having a bad life is nothing to be joked about

It's nothing to be joked about, no.
But, if Brad won't do it and he's just like *kills self* it's all in sarcastic humor, it isn't precisely the same as saying "I want to end it all now.... the fatal slash of my sword... the rolling fo my head... the blood... flowing from my neck like a fresh spring..."
He's joking about HIM, not the people who're depressed and whatnot..... like I said, I contempted, yet at school, I say "BOY GIVE ME YOUR KNIFE OR I'LL KILL MYSELF!" And I'm kinda ashamed of it -.-

I am a very morbid humored person, I laugh in the face of death, I like death, I like going to funerals, yet I am a Christian and it's against Christian standards, it's jsut my own personal sense of humor, death has never bothered me, that's why I don't worry about death and suicides, sorry. =/

I feel the same as Inu Yasha in episode 10, when he said:
"If you're going to die, do it! If you're not, then DON'T!"
That's my attitude toward suicide.

But, for the sake of the majority, suicide should not be joked about. It'll craze the majority, whom believe death is bad and that suicide is heart breaking... it may provoke them to tears.

There's nothing wrong with satire or sarcastic comedy, like if someone were to do something really stupid and I were to say "Oh god, where's my knife, I need to stab myself."

However, it IS wrong to make jokes about people who have tried to or gone through with suicide, living or dead, and it's wrong to tell people to kill themselves. I'm victim of the latter and ashamed of it. :\

That's what I've been trying to say. Save the last part about telling someone to kill themselves.

Some of us (like me) find those guys on graal "GIVE ME 100G OR I'LL KILL MYSELF." Annoying, in our scenario, we ignore them, in your scenario you'd say "Would you like to talk?" You're severely sensitive to death, that's all.

(oh, and I'm also familiar with suicide, 2 aunts, 3 uncles, 6 friends, a grandfather, I've contempted atleast twice like I said. Also, like I stated earlier, I welcome death, it's all opinion and personality.)

It's all personality, likes, dislikes, favours, and ofcourse, sense of humor, the affect and sincerity of death varies from person to person.

I used to do a suicide show on classic where I would use the suicide dagger to drop 1000's of gralats. I used to attract quite a crowd and I actually started a fad.

Sadly, I think suicide on Graal is just a big joke. There are people always saying "Oh I am going to kill mahself if i dun get a bombie@!!1" or "I ned a fredn or I will kill maisefl^%@!1" through mass messages. It's all turned into a big joke. Whenever someone says that on Graal people rolle their eyes.

Sadly, that's how it has turned out.
