You need to use numbers between 0 and 1, sort of like the lantern NPC.
(E.G. set 1 1 0 would make it yellow)

No, this is for the public to see, I posted it on NPC Scripting already, and barely anyone responded...So I wanted real opinions from non-scripters...

Hey... I don't agree with this. I don't see why people can't put showoffs in the main forum.

It's certainly tempting.

It would be interesting if that happened, to say the least.

We don't move threads about comics or murals to the graphic design forum, so I see no reason to move everything script-related to the scripting forum. It's graal-related and people could benefit from seeing it, or enjoy the experience. The scripting forum is for asking for help or discussing scripting techniques, and the reason this kind of talk is confined to its own area is that only a small subset of players know or care about scripting. However, everybody can load a level and press the "Play" button so I see no reason that this thread should be hidden away here.

I talked with Alkaren the other day and I explained to him that those comics and things BELONGED in graphics forum where they should go. He told me he just got happy about someone drawing a picture of him and let all those topics stay in General.. They do not belong in general, and neither does scripting stuff.. showoff or not. Because for one, people in scripting might not visit the main forum too much and could benefit from that script, and it's retarded to allow someone to post their topic in every forum they think it would fit in. "Gee well not a lot of people go to the scripting forum, so I will put this showoff script on general.. oh and wait, I better put it in npc forum so people that don't visit general will see it, oh and wait, I better put it in the graphics forum since it contains graphics, oh and wait, let me put it in the playerworld forums since playerworld owners might like to see it"

so why didnt he move them befor he got his chericter? all that you jus said was naucence about alk....if he didnt get the thing or didnt know about him having being drawn he would of moved them befor he got anything therefor...why didnt he move them...the reason you just stated is incorrect

I do agree that this type of thing would be better in the general forum because it's not talking about scripting, just showing an NPC someone made, but according to the topic of the NPC Scripting forum, it should be in there.

Alright, so you are saying I should post my script where no one can see it because it is proper? Heres what I am going to do just for all you fricking super mods who think that everything should be proper when you want it to be, but when you aren't there you could care less. No. This was perfectly relevant to Graal itself and was beneficial to the community. The scripting forum may suggest itself to be a place to show off scripts, but I hardly see why it should be confined to there. If we try hard enough, I'm sure we can categorise almost everything in Main into one of the subforums - should we empty it as a result? I see your reasoning here, but I just don't think that posting it here does any harm.

See, the difference between the playerworld forum and the scripting forum is that the latter is a highly technical area. It's not where someone goes to learn about the latest scripting news, it's where they go to pose or work on problems. That's why non-scripters pretty much can't go there - it's far too technical to sort through to find the cool showoffs that they like. But the playerworld forum is almost specifically FOR giving news on PWs etc. So, since there isn't a wide-audience dedicated subforum for displaying and sharing impressive scripts, we use Main.

But hey, why not just ask Stefan if it's against the rules?
