Forums idea:How about getting one of those IM programs, like JavaAIM, and when you log into forums you have an option of opening the program with your account as your SN. You can then message fellow forum-goers over the little java applet. Also have chat rooms ;)

I presonally like the idea.
But if it would lag alot, then we're probably better off without it.

How about just get each others AIM screen names and use that? : p

Maybe that one guy unixmad could host it off of another computer than the websites and forums are hosted off of. Fun.

The forums MySQL database are already huge, which is why it keeps getting slowler, as more topics are started, and there are more replies.

I am not going to prune though.

The forums are laggy enough as is, like I said. Besides, why do that when you have Graal, AIM, ICQ, MSN, and Yahoo Messanger? It would be redundent, and would be the cause of unneeded hacking of vBulletin.

use regular forums pms and then if they have the option checked, then they would have a little message when the get one
