What happened to these forums?
 

In the last month, I haven't enjoyed coming to the forums as much. The topic aren't as interesting to read, and the only posts I have been making lately is in the kingdoms forum and when people are leaving and saying "Bye". Is it just me, or has anyone else lacked interest in posting/viewing the forums?

Same here.. Not many interesting threads.. Today I had to start a few arguments just to get entertained and some excitement :(

Many accounts were or are about to be expired, and as I see many people are disappointed from this game, and they don't plan on re-upgrading, meaning they will no longer come to the forums.

I have been warning for months now how the forums would get like this if someone did not change things.

I've seen it happen before several times. No one listened to me though :(

I also notice ther are usually less people on, and responses take longer.
You used to get responses like it was a chatroom. (Damn 60 second rule.)

It's the same, that's the problem, online games should have unlimited options, you have nothing to do on graal but pk and collect useless items, and bomies doesn't do anything too, Graal should be enlarged.

All this happens because Graal isn't a proffesional game. The staff are all volunteers, and that simply doesn't work.

yeah, commercial games just don't work like that, Graal looks more like a freeware.

That has nothing to do with it.

It has everything to do with it. The forums are managed by volunteers. Why would they care about what happens with Graal or the forums?

Normally when you take a job you care. Or if you play a game that you manage you care.

I also think it has to do with the fact that there is nothing interesting to talk about in Graal anymore. When was the last time there was a cool new update on the server? Sure, you can talk it up all you want like the staff have done so well but in the end people don't post here because there is nothing going on in Graal, it's boring.

It was better when stefan was working on 2k1 and not 2k2.. I miss the weekly Screenshots and all the times he would come on to mention somethign new coming in 10 minutes.

Graal doesnt suck its just that the staff keep telling us stuff like were getting new levels such as the desert or whatever. Staff works too slow, Im not saying its easy but I remember on classic back in the day wede have new quests every week now its like every 5months =/.

When, precisely, were there ever weekly quests?
Are you sure they were all new, and you didn't just find old ones on a weekly basis?
Perhaps I can learn something from this mythical golden era, as I'm sure it was before Nightlord took over the LAT and did nothing with it, and prior to that there was no LAT, just one guy reviewing levels and no guys doing bugfixing....

The forums were good until the so-called 'Classic Invasion.'

Graal was... well, never all that good. It just took a while to realise that for most of us.

Omy yes =) And their forums are actually fun, with only a very small amount of *****s. It's amazing how people are actually nice there! :)

*nods* It was horribly painful for me when things began deteriorating on Mithica during that whole... thing. And I think it would be that much worse if you were in charge of the whole game.

For a few months, I decided to stop posting here, but for some odd reason, I've posted more than 50 times in the past week. :rolleyes:
