Level Making Bugs
Couple of bugs dont know if they've been posted or not so here goes.
1. If I try open up a .png in a seperate folder than what the level is in for example if I have a level on my desk top and use a npc and try to use a gif in my web gifs folder it will delete the entire level and any I open and I have to hit ctrl alt dlt so it doesnt save over what I had previously saved 2. When I try to generate a map for my overworld (about 1200 levels) it gets stuck around lvl 400 something I'll post the exact error message when I get home today. 3. Level generator wont make tree's for a server that is 1200 levels big I had to go in and do all the forests by hand (of course if I had though about it I would have cut it down to fourths) I actually noticed these errors months ago when I started work on it but never came to the boards until recently. |
Are your sure you are using the exact right colour for the trees because about 6 months ago i made the mistake of takining one of the colours out of paint without checking it seen as it looked exactly the same but it wasnt...and my levels ended up with no trees
|
yes because I just use the tool that copies the color I copied it off the level gen map and it worked for my smaller levels when messing around. But when I did it on the overworld it didnt work and I wasnt the first one to try I began messing with it for days after the owner gave up in frustration. Then I finally figured out that it was the size of the map. Not sure what size it starts at just that it doesnt work for 1200 lvl maps.
On another note I'll try to remember to post that error message tonight when I get home I sorta forgot last night ;) |
ok I tried to generate a new map last night and it worked o.O
it kept stalling every time it hit S such as levelname_as-13.graal it would stall at the s-13 for a second and start again but it worked *shrugs* |
