Bird I think the only way to lower prices is to drasticly restock all hats add like 60 of each all the shoguns, gangsters, fishers, fools, orig glasses etc.

Or make them free.

How does releasing more of the expensive has lower prices. People will buy more of them and sell them for the same price

Maybe people should only be allowed to hold 1 of each hat.

I think the admins already had there effect on the economy already, the bognera hat dont even go for 2800 anymore... and most of the hats that are lots of money go for about half there price now

Ok, the problem with hats is that they are sorta like the stock market, or an antique. You invest in it and hope that it will become valuable. As I do agree, hats are the highest they have ever been, but hats have always been unstable. Lets use a Black Gangster just as an example, I came to G2K1 and the average price was roughly 500-700, then the hat market crashed, and I think it was because Stefan released alot of bad hats in a short period of time. Everyone spent their money, but no one wanted to buy the hats, and everyone became poor, for the Black Gangster prices went to 200-300. Then Stefan wanted everyone to not be poor, so to do this the nexts few hat releases were done in very small quantities and the hats were pretty decent (with exceptions of some =/) resulting in an extremely drastic change, now there is too much money circulating, so our old Black Gangster is now selling for 800-1000, insane.
What I am trying to state is that this is not unnormal for an economy, even a fake one. The stock market changes rapidly and people often become poor or get rich. The only difference is that the stock market is controlled by company's profits and the Graalian hat market is controlled by um, Stefan.

And yes I know the fact that I took the time to think about this and type it out makes me a complete loser but hey, I already play Graal why not indulge myself in it.

Make them free, but you are only allowed to carry a limited number of hats total.

The best idea is to make quests that are as hard as hell and you get a hat as a prize, and it says "You won a hat as a prize! Please say the number of the hat you wish to have" then you say like "hat152.png" and it gives you a blue shogun.. =\

That is the worst idea ever. No hat would have any value, you might as well make them free. Say for example, black shogun is pretty rare now, but if you can go through a quest 5 times and get a black shogun, it defeats the purpose of rare hats.

I'm against a restock because there are tons of hats on the server now, you can buy just about any hat that has been released. The hat prices are up to you guys, no one is forcing you to sell your hats at high prices, no one is forcing you to sell them at low prices.

I watched the market economy change a lot. There was a time when hats were so cheap you couldn't even sell them for store price. That's when I went and bought a lot of them, and then started selling them on stands for a lot more.. and many people would say "RIP OFF!@#!@ LOLALAO!!" but eventually people started buying them, because I got others to raise their prices as well. :)

The reason it lowers is because people try to beat competitors.. going 5 gralat lower, and eventually it gets to the point where there are some people with tons of hats they bought cheap, and some with tons of money.. so what happens? The people with tons of hats turn around and sell them for twice as much as they paid, and the people that once sold those hats, buy them for twice as much.

I've already suggested this many many times before ;\

If you restock hats again I will kidnap your bird and hold it for 500 graal hats ransom.
