My suggestion: don't let anyone ban players on g2k1 but the GM, Stefan, and unixmad.
Instead make on G2K1 a jail like classic, that people won't be able to be released from so easily.
You have to remember that people are actually paying for this game, there is no place for power abusment by some low level admins, this way power abusment will be stopped.

Actually, he said 2k1. I would believe this is bullshit, just like most things that comes out of his mouth.

This is just stupid. If people get banned then it's for a reason. There've been lots of times when banning a person has been in the interest of everybody - what incident makes you want to take that away?

I mean all servers, but I am talking about paying customers who are banned for no reason or on minor things.

If you didn't notice, those things don't come out of my mouth, I am writing them =P

Look at many other threads, many say they were banned for no reason, and I doubt anyone even checked the logs to see if what they said is true.
I was even banned once for cursing an admin, I didn't even get a warning!

People lie all the time, and often admins do check the logs and prove that the claims are false. But on the other hand, often they don't - why should they? Judging by the "WFT I WuZ B4NNEDED" style of the complains, I'd personally place far more trust in the staff than the complainer.

Still people don't always lie, and they pay for this game so they deserve a good customer service.

After they've cheated? After they've broken the rules? After they've tried to make the game a worse place in some pathetic expression of their teenage angst? No, they don't deserve anything.

So, what'd you/your friend get banned for?

What if someone banned you saying you hacked although you didn't do anything?
Also I think hacking on classic can be helpful sometimes, I always find it enjoyble when hackers do some changed there =P

umm.. how about all staff can 24 hour ban
but higher (like stefan and unixmad) can ban longer?

an example:
Loriel banned me from hacking just because I told him to don´t jail a friend...
I´m still banned since 02-15 :grrr:

Yeah, I'm really sure there isn't more to the story.

it would suck to be in a jail for 50 days for stealing rocks because a police member has h8 for rock stealers :)
