New RemoteControl.exe

There is a new RC which fixes some stuff:
- scrolling improved
- automatic reconnect to npcserver when the connection to
the npcserver is broken
- better working opening of files in the file-browser (double-click)
- a 'find' button in the scripting window (can also be activated
with F3)

neat.

I guess you misunderstood it?
I think Stefan said that the RC (client) will connect back to the NPC Server when it loses the connection, *not* that the NPC Server would reconnect when lost connection...

alarid 03-02-2002 01:43 AM

When will it come out?

I don't see no diffrence...

Python523 03-02-2002 08:54 AM

Stefan, could you please consider removing the lowercasing of all FTP rights so we can assign ftp to only one guild since they are case sensative?

brock128 03-02-2002 09:35 AM

I wanna play with it.

You mean find command? It does have a purpose, you can see if a file exists instead of searching FTP for it, what it should do is that if the file exists, a message pops up the asks if you want to download it, that would be a good thing to add

zell12 03-02-2002 01:16 PM

no, that find buttion Stefan added to server options and thats

yea, now that IS useless

zell12 03-02-2002 01:19 PM

it is though... mabey for finding a certian server flag like on classic or 2k1 where there are alot of server. flags

Python523 03-02-2002 01:31 PM

find in FTP would be more useful

zell12 03-02-2002 02:16 PM

tere is a find command isn't there?

DeathChill 03-02-2002 02:56 PM

Is it me or does the RC not start centered just a little bit down like it used to?it starts sort of in the corner for me :[

DeathChill 03-02-2002 02:58 PM

And this is a bug I suppose..If you don't have NPC control thingy the 5 buttons you're only supposed to have if you have NC CONSTANTLY flash even after the start..they don't stop..

Yes I know, it often lags me horribly. I have reported it to Stefan, he said he will fix it soon.
