Argos: a New Playerworld Project
 

After over two years of playign graal, and a year of being the Sanstrata owner (which is now in another's hands), I have decided to make a new server: Argos.
This is not like other newbie playerworld ideas: a bunch of ripped levels and npcs. I have the experince and the knoweldge to make a truly cool and interactive, fun playerworld, and we are lookign for help! the website is: http://www.figmentcode.com/argos and on there you can find out more, and apply to be on the team. We are looking for the BEST, peopel preferably with former playerworld experience.

why did i not keep sanstrata?
it was full of arguing whiny kids who
were accusing people of one thign or the other
and basiclaly driving me crazy.

now i am going at a team effort,

Uhm, anyone besides me notice the striking resemblance to Zelda 3 in that screen shot?

Namely, the rocks, door, walls, and oh let's just say the entire level besides the baddies and player.

i never played zelda 3. i saw those tiles on some website and thought they looked cool. il try another source, thanks for the heads up. i know some of the tile erros and stuff sux but i have some good LATs who are gonna fix up my "general idea" levels, which is all i got now, what you have seen.
as i said before we are workign on a tileset. also NEW on the website there is a MAP idea! really basic color blobs but its an idea .. suggestions are welcome of course, thanks guys

Judging that it will use an original tile set, I would have to say it would be P2P.

to get the number of players needed, it needs to be non p2p. as in free. unless p2p becomes real popular all of a sudden.
The type of gameplay where you need multiple players of difrent races/classes that this is aimed at needs to have more than just a few ppl online. It depends on where p2p is going. If only 4 or 5 ppl play it, like mose player made p2p servers, it would be boit as good as a free server with 30 or so ppl on it

Royce: You cannot just estimate the number of players you think that will play before hand. I would say go p2p, more possibilites and more options. Now since these new p2p servers are coming out, I am pretty sure more people will be upgrading accounts.

Hm? I thought you needed P2P for original tiles. Oh well.

P2P may become popular in some time considering some of the future pws. Things like G2K2, Oasis, and Graal 2230 look promising.

I think it will crash and burn, Prozac can't handle the pressure and new gen graal comming out the server must have new titles,charcters,npc etc. Very difficult to owner a server these days.

Its not that hard to manage a server but prozach knows what he is doing i have seen some of his work he should have fun doing this.

Same overworld and some progress.

Horribly undetailed levels lack of npcs and horride staff.

why the he!$ does everyone demand to see screenshots? if you ask me, servers with good levels alone are pretty boring and pointless
