WARNING: Inflation = Death of G2k1

When I first started this game, people with 1000g were considered very very rich, now its if you dont have 1000g your poor. Everyone has atleast 10000 theres to much money going around and its ruining the economy. Kevin has almost 30k now and If you take the time hes not the only one check people profiles. Hats are going up and money isnt even worth as much as it was. This server is beginning to be andor2. Stefan needs to do something like this... Say you have 1,209g... stefan needs to take everyones money and move the decimal point to the left one. So if you had 1,209g you now have 120.9. There will be a new decimal system but it will help revive the economy and stop this crazy inflation. Stefan needs to make people on this server work for money again... the crafting rooms which use to be full are empty and no one even thinks about farming... you cant even give cans and shovels away. I dont really play g2k1 anymore its not that fun. I mean Sk and bird bird are doing a hell of a job with all the new stuff but first i think some one should Fix the inflation problem before this turns into andor lol. Watch out muroshi and jap because everyone is getting richer and richer... I use to be rich but i gave away everyone is catching up and its not fun lol. I think that a decimal system like that may make many people angry but it will help a heck of alot for this server!

thanks for reading... Arion

FFusion 02-24-2002 02:58 AM

we need more things to spend our money on.

Constinople 02-24-2002 03:00 AM

Yes actually i was hoping they would sell some super rare things like... maybe a bomy that looks like a car and only have 5 and sell them 10k a peace... also make it so you can lose money.. mayke npc that hit people up for like 100g everyonce in a while like thiefs

DragonX2 02-24-2002 03:01 AM

If all the jobs weren't repetitively (sp?) pressing the 'D' button than maybe more people would be mining, farming, etc. That is why dolls came out, to spread the money around for poor people that got the dolls to sell for a lot, I admit though that many people that had around 20g or 100g even last week now have over 10k because of these dolls. I myself don't participate in the doll business anymore cause you can't be to sure when the prices will boost or fall and you may lose money :(. Hopefully Graal2002 will not be like Graal2001....we will see....

Birdbird_0 02-24-2002 03:03 AM

Tyme was suggesting a reduction in gralats with a tax like npc,

But you have to understand, you are comming from a point of some one who does not spend thier whole time in the market making money and such, yes I know its hard for newbies to get in the "game" but these people who have been in the game have been playing for a VERY long time.

If you can't see this from the other point of view, I don't think you should be basisng your opinyon on something you consider to be fact.

Konidias and Falados are added to the team, all is not lost, additions will be added, and the economey will be monitored closely, and things will be introduced to lower gralat count.

I don't think the gralats would go as far to kill 2k1, gralats can always be reset. But if that were to happen, about 1/2 of the population would quit.

Googi 02-24-2002 03:04 AM

Kevin is an ex-scammer, he is ban evading anyway -_-

Constinople 02-24-2002 03:04 AM

Well hopefully when oasis and 2230 ( i forgot the year it may not be accurate) wont all be about money.... like maybe it will be rp collecting but no money at all.... and haning out games and working for statis such as police faw... not for money

Constinople 02-24-2002 03:08 AM

Bird bird thats what i mean i know alot of people that have quit latley... and yea all im trying to say is lower money count lol, plus what else may kill p2p on graal is this 40$ a year... i dont even feel like paying 12. Now do you think a Web surfur will be strolling along and sees graal... then sees the 40$ a year charge... you think he will pay?

im not downing you bird i think you have done a great job with the slums in all its just everyone is rich......

Questa 02-24-2002 03:09 AM

Yeah 2002 is catching my eye because hopefully money will not be its primary focus.

Googi 02-24-2002 03:09 AM

I thought you quit anyway -_-

Constinople 02-24-2002 03:14 AM

What other ways are there to make money besides working?
And it's too late for me to get a doll, I have only a little below 300g.
Something does need to be done.
It only seems like the rich get richer..and the poor stay..poor.

Birdbird_0 02-24-2002 03:19 AM

the dolls were introduced to reduce some money,
it already snagged 40 some odd thousand gralat according to the doll logg

Infamy 02-24-2002 03:20 AM

You tell'em Birdbird!:D

Constinople 02-24-2002 03:28 AM

THe weapon would have to be so good that PKers would be able to make more then 50g a day using it.

Constinople 02-24-2002 03:36 AM

WHAT A SECOND BIRDBIRD!!!!! dolls didnt take away 40k lol they moved around 40k from player to player so its not really helping... unless those dolls are stealing

AlexH 02-24-2002 03:38 AM

That new staff SK is making, the one that mines, crafts, can be used as sword, fire magic, that should be sold for a lot.
it has loads of uses and could be sold high in shops to get money down and there shouldn't be a certain number of them. Everyone should be able to have one so the money wont be thrown around in the market for one. That should bring the money count down a lot.

Actually they did remove some money, they were originally sold in an NPC shop, and no one makes money out of those.

mrkriton 02-24-2002 03:41 AM

Trying to get money is a loophole. for example with mining, your probley spending more money then earning. I think to mine 20g it costs 15g in bombs to bomb 3 locations. So you really just earning 5g. And its true on how poor people stay poor. I only have 40g and those rich SOB's go around buying stuff, but of course they sell it second later. What i think is that a perminate job should be added. Not like farming or such. But more like a real job. Maybe open up a supermarket or a graal-mart online where it has tons of stuff for sale. And graalians can fill out an application and actually work there. Like stock shelfs, security, customer service, and cashiers. and when in the market a graalian can get a shopping basket or cart. And you goto an item and say "Put In Cart" *I know this is getting off subject* then the customer stands on a special NPC pad and the cashier using another NPC, that one shows what items were purchased and it works like a cash register. sorta. And for these jobs, you get payed to work them. If you didnt you will just walk away and the market will not make any money because no one is manning the counters or something. also we should have credit cards. that bill us. And if we dont pay we need to face the consequences. So what do you think?

Googi 02-24-2002 03:43 AM

If you really want to get money out of graal, make more playerhouses, not the crappy 1 person ones, the real ones that you can give 10 people keys to. They get a couple K out when they are first sold and they take away a few hundred each week.

too many houses=bad

it would be impossible to get renters with so many houses.

Googi 02-24-2002 04:05 AM

4300g per week is removed from Graal in playerhouse rent. There are 13 playerhouses, the playerhouse count could be EASILY doubled to 26, if the rent of each playerhouse that was added stayed more or less the same, then 8600g would dissapear each week. That is 34400 per month. 412800 in a year.

Griffyn 02-24-2002 04:06 AM

i thought you quit constinople

WTS, No it wouldn't, there are lots of PKers on Graal, and lots of miners, both of whom need playerhouse keys. Some of the miners are kinda dumb and don't buy them but that can probably be changed.

Umm...first, you only need to bomb 2 locations, the durby mine and the gold mine, you get around 8 of each mineral each time you bomb there. That's 80g - 10g for the 2 bombs = 70g -_-

Have you EVER mined?

mrkriton 02-24-2002 04:28 AM

Long time ago, now i stopped because its hard work. Im currently doing nothing. Another reason is i cant get on graal without having it freeze up my entire computer. which really blows

no, SK took like 2-8 of EACH doll, sold them on the market for 600-1500 each, everytime one was sold he deleted the money from his account. So alot of money on graal has just gone bye bye :)

then why is it so hard to sell keys as it is now?

we have no need for 260 key slots. house owners would be losing like 300g a week.

Googi 02-24-2002 05:22 AM

That's the idea :D

People only rent keys from people they know or trust, I wish I kept my house :( I sold 7 keys in less than 20 minutes because people trust me and I trust them. They are afraid of getting their money stolen and that's why for some people it is very hard to sell keys because people think they are very untrustworthy.

Frolic_RC2 02-24-2002 05:24 AM

Simple Solution:

A tax for living.

For the mere aspect of surviving you should be taxed 10% of your money every week or something. You could integrate it as like a offering to the graal gods or something, maybe make the villages very superstitious and they collect the taxes to please the gods or something. Just a though.

Exactly, that's why if you go to Koni's house every slot is taken.

Wouldn't work, people would just sell everything for 10% less.

Heh, also in the new houses, they don't have slots for money :( They just have a chest anyone can deposit or withdraw money from (if they have a key of course) which isn't safe if you are trying to rent out keys because someone can just take all your money if you decide to deposit in there. I thought all the houses were turning into 6-8 little houses and if you owned a big house you would own 2 little houses in that little house village.

Constinople 02-24-2002 12:12 PM

AHAHA PUT A TAX ON THE MARKET LOL WHEN YOU SAY BUT ITEM IT WILL SAY PRICE THEN ADD 10 % TAX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its so smart.. what a good idea... dolls are lame anyway... pointless if they dont make them vodoo dolls

Torankusu 02-24-2002 12:16 PM

Andor2?

uhm.
How can a server be a copy of a server that is a copy of it? As in, how is graal2001 becomming like a server that copied it?
