Hmm, have any of you had trouble with the new version of Napster? It says that I am sharing 0 files but I've been sharing 84 until now.....help?

im not to happy with napster since they put up the filters to block out copyrighted music which is basicly all the good stuff : /

It did that to me eariler, but then I reconnected and it said I was sharing.

And there are plenty of ways to get around the filter.

Capitalization errors

or the easiest way is to put the title of the song.

Why don't you try using one of the other 10+ clones that are just like napster but much much better? Napster is just full of fools who know nothing about computers and only heard about it becuase of all the press it is getting on tv, newspapers, etc.

Some good alternatives:

Gnutella, and MusicCity Morpheus.

I have yet to find an alternative for Napster that I liked using as much :(

All of the 'next generation' napster clients are inferior in one way or another. Especially gnutella and everything that uses its system (like bearshare, limewire) because it is far far slower to find the files you want

Use Imesh or Kazaa.

see that is part of the problem, there are so many different clients now, everyone is using different ones. It is making it harder to get what you want.

Before, everyone used Napster so it was very easy to find a song. Now, everyone is spread out :(

I think its like that cause of the filters.
Those 80 or so files.... who were they by?
basically anyone after the beatles has been blocked (AKA filtered out)
and im dropping the use of napster
I now use some retarded program called "Rapigator"
It has an option where u can connect to a lot of servers.
I only got Napster and Swaptor on my list though...

no sharing on napster is good
