Set effect?!?!?

Is seteffect legal on a non-p2p server? I am mainly talking about this because I want to use it in my caves so the player is dark as well.

Python523 02-18-2002 08:05 AM

seteffect is the same as a light effect but accross the whole level so it is illegal on non-p2p servers

royce 02-18-2002 09:36 AM

thats is some totally f^ed up shiznit.

royce 02-18-2002 09:38 AM

so how do i make the player darker that follows along with the backpal??

Python523 02-18-2002 09:51 AM

You cant, all a backpal does is edit the pics1.png, no way to get npcs or the player to get darker

zell12 02-18-2002 11:01 AM

you can make a img, and use attachplayertoobj; or whatever

royce 02-18-2002 01:36 PM

attachplayertoobj is p2p i thought

Faheria_LAT1 02-18-2002 01:54 PM

It is

but it seems that Setfocus is for any server since Londeroth are using it.

Setfocus is illegal for sure I know. The only reason why they have it is ---------------------------. I think many of you know the reason(*wink-*wink);)

Faheria_LAT1 02-18-2002 01:58 PM

Why cant PW inspection do something? -_-'

One of the PW has Zelda 3's torch image and the head of 'Piccolo' character of Dragon Ball which is copyrighted..

royce 02-18-2002 02:01 PM

Because Pw Inspection team just sits on their asses. We need a new inspector that has experience in tons of fields so that he knows whats copyrighted and what isnt. I have never watched Dragoon Bal or some show like that before so I would not know. I have never played Zelda for more than 5 minutes.

Your only solution as far as I can see is either to interlace the character with black dots to provide a crude shadeout effect or take every body, head, shield etc and make a darker version. Or go P2P

...or shutdown your server.

i do not know, educate me, it works on other servers as well too, so dont exclude it to Londeroth only ...

Slaktmaster 02-20-2002 04:43 AM

royce 02-20-2002 10:01 AM
