#gf, and Gani Backgrounds

Ok, first of, there should be the command:
#gf, #gf(index)
#gf is the current Gani Frame of the animation for the current NPC (if it is an NPCW, then current player). #gf(index) should be obvious. The #gf could be used for precise timing of things which go with ganis, in script. For instance (not that I'm doing this, I hate baseball crap) lets say you have some baseball mini game. You make a script where the bat triggers actionhit when it is at frame...3 lets say, and thats when the bat is at the peak of the swing. When the ball comes, the action is received, and it gets hit. You could also make it triggeraction the current frame of the gani, and depending on the frame, the ball gets hit in a certain degree.
So many other uses for this command, it just must be added.

Also, Gani Backgrounds. I for one dislike the green background in Graal Shop. I would like to be able to change the color, that way its easier to edit. So if you have a green item, you can change the background to blue. Or if green is just annoying, you can change it to white, or black, or any of the main colors.

that could be helpful, i agree...

I think I'd prefer it just being a variable (E.G. players[index].ganiframe npcs[index].ganiframe), though it would be rather useful.

Yes, the message codes are usually just used for strings.

should be done like a variable, a lot better

Frolic_RC2 02-15-2002 08:39 PM

Well reason I did that was because maybe if he decided to add it, we could actually name the gani frames. But a variable would be nice, so maybe we could name the frames, and also access the frame number...if there is no name for a frame, then the message code would return a frame.
