New Scam
 

There is a new scam, actually, you've probably all heard of it, anyway, it was the only time a scam has ever gotten past me. If someone makes an offer on something close to when your time is up, don't change anything, they are a scammer, I got scammed out of a 200g hat this way, so far, I've PKed 19g from the guy, so I ony got 181g to go, I figure I'll have it done in about 2 weeks. Anyway, don't fall for this scam, they will rent the stand and take your hat or item or whatever, don't do it. kthxbye.

After reading it twice...I think he means that when he is re-laying an object to change the price his time expires and he leaves the stand. While the other guy rents that stand...I think

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about, and no, the purpose of this post isn't to complain, it's to spread the word about the scam so that it doesn't happen anymore. Like I said, I can PK the money from the guy in about 2 weeks.

Or maybe it was stupid of the guy to scam me, I have already started informing people of this scam, and I was able to stop him from stealing a panda hat, which is worth about twice what a zorro hat is worth.

Well, I've already screwed him about 10x more then 200g. So I'm happy now. Tell your friends about the scam though.

No, I think most of the Karakaze already knew it, since it only takes 1 member for the whole guild to know, and there aren't that many independant scammers anymore, so I think that the benefits of informing people about this far outweigh the risks.

its common sense. Kevin tried the same thing on me. He asked me if I would sell my soda hat for 175g which was on the stand earlier for 50g and no one wanted it. Don't you find it odd that a person offers a great amount of for something that was way cheaper a second ago. ofcourse i knew my what he was doing so i checked my stand time before.

oh and the soto thing is getting on my nerves. you don't have to post that in everyone of your posts you know.

That is the most complicated scam I've heard of. Whoever can pull that one off is really smart and talented.

This thread didn't work, it didn't inform people about the scam nor did it get the staff to get off their lazy asses to make NPC's that stop this illegal BS from happening (Which you would think should be easy considering the complication of some of the other stuff they make).
