Tileset...
 
Hey, i wanted to take a step up and maybe learn how to make a tileset, i have like 2 years experiance in adobe photoshop and stuff, my friend scalper said just take pics1.png and replace it with your stuff, but there must be a diff. way. i dont know if anyone wants to help, get my aim name in my sig. and IM me.

first of all hes right and when your done use addtiledef2 to put it on the levels

Use whatever the hell you like best, any graphics program will do as long as you like the feel of it.

I need a good, free image editor because on my new computer all I have is paint..I can't make gif's! help! (Yes I know you can do gif's in paint but they screw up colors)

hmmmm u should use some graphic program that can in/export colorpalets (or what it's called in english)... a 16 Bit Image can be edited a better way then an 8 Bit (256 colors) image (Using PSP and that's my opinion)... bc if u do not use the original colors from the standard pics1.png you'll have invert problems if u use a backpal somewhere in Graal
