things i'll refrain from diving into ...

Do you believe I care about such folly? The second someone tries to influence my hiring by saying they are friends with some high admin or something I delete their application. Hiring people based merely on "connections" is one of the lamest things I have ever seen. I hope people do not think I am like that :(
