For some reason, all levels I save are .nw one's, I am not sure what happened to the .graal extension

You can still save them as .graal, you just have to type in the .graal extension manually.

I don't see why not, since the new editor automatically saves it as a .nw when you save, you don't have a choice of the two.

Yes it has always been allowed

Gangster88 01-27-2002 01:05 PM

Juron Pilo 01-27-2002 03:15 PM

Perhaps I'm just a fool, but why doesn't "sparringzone" work in .nw levels online

WindSpeed 01-28-2002 02:19 AM

I think there REALLY needs to be a Level Generator for .nw files. I'm making a Kingdom for 2k1 (Which I hafta talk to you about, Stefan) and I had to go back, resave all the levels, then edit every single link...x.x

Have you ever heard of the find and replace command....

CowgirlBebop 01-28-2002 05:14 AM

something to do with new world, i think.

mikepg 01-28-2002 06:13 AM

heh

I remember using .zelda files...that was just bothersome.
I normally save my levels as .graal, because for some reason, .nw lag offline sometimes :( (not always though).

saving files with different extensions can help organize things too...like

cave1-1.quest
mike1-1.house
dustari1-1.castle
world1-1.field

If i could start over...that's what i would do, but, I'm not gonna start over ;)

lol. I think its because you can read them with a text editor and change npcs without actually opening the level. (Useful for FTP)

Evildred144 01-28-2002 11:07 AM

i think .NW also have better Npc Usage because i remember one time when a npc only worked on a .nw file but not on a .graal
