I think all playerworlds should only have 2-3 people with FTP now. Have you noticed how many servers have been getting messed with? Most of the reason is because someone with FTP got fired and gets mad and etc... It's not hacking, it's stupidity and anger from people who cant control it. In conclusion I am very tired of getting annoying IMs again about there problems and what they did wrong. If you cant trust someone then don't give them FTP. END

The FTP is now built into the RC, and you can give different folders to different people. So when you do fire someone, and take their RC away, they cannot go into FTP anymore...

Doesnt mean all FTP passwords are changed yet and stupid owners still give out the passwords.

I think all ftp servers are shutdown now.
Of course this will not fix all problems with
corrupt admins, because many pw owners
give their staff ip ranges like *.*.*.* and
probably a lot of file rights. The best is to
give a good ip range and only access to
files you are working on.

Stefan, is there a way to give someone access to a special "testing" folder to put things in?

That would be really helpful, so I don't have to upload tests on N-Pulse fifty times a day! ;)

Owner, Co-Owner(if there is one), GM (if there is one) and maybe LAT Admin is all that should need FTP on a playerworld.

Stefan , I think you need to put FTP back up , cause RC is very laggy for a lot of people and sometimes files don't upload right , on UnholyNation , Only Me , LiquidIce and DW (Admin) have it.

unfortunatly, it doesnt allow caps in folder rights.

so you cant give them rights to a certain guild file, like gp chief having rights to only guildGP.txt etc
