AP Bug
Noticed a couple things.
1) If a putnpc kills someone (ie a putnpc bomb) - no AP deduction Solution - damage done by putnpc counts as damage done by creator (somehow?) 2) If a triggeraction kills someone (ie you fire a rifle at a player, the player's actionshot calculates how much damage they take with their armor/resistance and subtracts the hearts accordingly) - no AP deduction Solution - damage done by triggeraction weapon counts as damage done by the trigger-er (somehow?) I don't know enough about the architecture to say how possible these will be to fix, but euh. |
triggeraction is posible to add AP (not kills) Maybe the last player that triggered you will get points deducted if you die? (If you die by that same trigger that is)
|
1) Not on P2P
2) Only if you successfully map a triggeraction BACK to the original trigger-er. For example: Bob shoots Doug using triggeraction bullet,Bob Doug dies and in dying scans all the players in the level for the one matching #p(0) and, if he finds one, runs a triggeraction curses,Bob at their location Bob, assuming he hasn't moved from the level, gets hit with actioncurses, and since his name matches #p(0) gets an AP deduction. Except it's murderously complicated, easily abused, and you can't set AP permanently without an NPC Server |
aha
i was wondering about that one too. i dont normally use hurting actions in triggeraction though. :-/

A possible temporary solution could be remaking your own ap system, although I think the execution of that'd only cause more problems.

yeah it would cause a few probs, but i guess it would still be possible, sounds like a plan.
