Level Builder

This has been talked about alot but needs ot be done. There needs to be a option where you can rotate tiles. that would be great and easier to make stuff look nicer.

AlexH 12-30-2001 08:35 AM

I think the reason it hasnt been does is because some people wouldnt see the imgs of the tiles when they are rotated because they dont have some kind of card or something like that that they would need to see them

Spanko 12-30-2001 09:01 AM

Stefan could easly do it. You don't need a card? Its just like on the gfx programs.

Nope, you need summin special, it works like light effects, with Direct3D or summin...

rotate 90's just simple math though...

I wish the requirements were upped =_=, This is 2002 afterall, people should get outa the old 150 MHZ porcessors and 8 bit vidiot cards and get into the 100Mhz 16 MB vidio card mode. If your that un-seriouse (Grammar?) about computers, you shouldnt be playing on them at all.

the new lvl builder (the one without the scrollbars) needs the scrollbars back in it
the lil guy is fine but i still would like the scroll bar
i think it helps on quickness over the graal character

I guess you are an idiot, but that's just my opinion... of course Stefan cares, but stuff like this was suggested 394293 times already, and it's just not worth the coding, or the system ressources it would need, ke?

BlKnight 01-05-2002 01:11 AM

It can be done with DirectDraw, but I suspect it would not look very good. Why I do not know, rotating by 90 degrees shouldn't be that hard with DD. It is probably easier with D3D, or alot faster (I wouldn't know cause I never bothered to look at D3D stuff)

I want it to keep the lil guy too.
It makes iteasier for the link testing bit.
But when im actually making the level id prefer to have my scrollbar because it saves a lot of time than having to move the lil guy.
And about the tile rotation I think Stefan said something about it taking up a lot of resources if he made it so he didnt want to do it.
