Can't Play Offline

Ok I know this goes in the Bugs Part but who cares.

Everytime I try and load a level for Graal it says this (Look at pic). I just downloaded this Graal yesterday and everytime I try thats what it says.

If it's a really, really, really new client (Read: 2002) it might be because there is apparently a special developer's version (Please note, that's what I heard).
If this however is just a normal Graal version I'd suggest downloadding it again.

I get that a lot. The level you're trying to open was made before the new tileset AND before the Graal 2.0 client. Every time I try opening one of the really old classic levels that used to come with the client, it says that. You just need to save it as then load that save as-d file.

What you mean load it as a D file?

Someone PLZ!!!!!

Spanky? Is that you? I'm pretty sure Krynn was Spanky's project. Spanko?

IceHawk 12-29-2001 06:57 AM

If you're running Windows NT4/2000/ XP on the NTFS filesystem, make sure you have permission to make stuff in there.

Mustang1988 12-29-2001 06:57 AM

Oh, you ARE spanky. o.o I thought you quit Graal and stopped doing Krynn or something?

Spanko 12-29-2001 07:00 AM

How do I check.

IceHawk 12-29-2001 07:25 AM

Well it should be obvious to you what OS you are running, look in the properties of your C: and it will tell you what file system you're using.

Most people use FAT32, although I like NTFS better.

Spanko 12-29-2001 07:32 AM

I mean check for the permission thing.

grim_squeaker_x 12-29-2001 07:07 PM

Try going to the Control Panel, then check users, then check which permissions your user account has.
If you have a limited account you'll have to ask whoever has an administrator account for a higher permission.

i had this problem when i reformatted, and put all my graal stuff on a backup cd. after i reinstalled nothing would open. it turned out that all of the files were converted to read only, and when you open a graal file to play offline it rewrites the file. so basically you'll have to un read-only them all.

if its something else, then i dont know.

Spanko 12-30-2001 07:08 AM

Woah Lugie thats what it was lol. Thanx
