As time marches on...
 

I am slowly losing interest in my PW...I am finding it increasingly difficult to keep going because I don't always have a large amount of time to mess with it.

I am basically stuck running it on my own with little help from others. I can't seem to pick-up any decent and somewhat dedicated staff to help me with what I need done.

I don't really want to take it down...I enjoy having it up...it's become more of a playground to me. But I can't just let it sit and rot like it is...I worked too hard. And those that would inquire, no, I will not give away control of my PW to another person...NEVER :p

I may or may not request Stefan to take it down or do something with it so long as it not put in someone else's hands...then I could do something else that I feel I would much rather do, but that is for me to know and everyone else to find out ;)

I figure that many people don't like hearing this kind of stuff, but I don't know what else to do. I can't continue like this without proper assistance...it just doesn't work.

take it down if you don't have time to work on it.It's wasting space and no one ever plays on their anyway.

Thing is, I like having it up...it gives me a nice quiet place to go and work on stuff...and also to test things :)

I do have a few NPCs and stuff I want to finish before I would ask Stefan to take it down...namely a nice new replacement for the ugly Q window :) and also some optimizations and upgrades for my HP/MP meter which I still need to test online yet :)

If/when I have my PW taken down, I will probably try and offer my assistance to Graal2001...I don't know why, but I just feel drawn to it quite a bit O.o

sorry to be mean but, so did Ice Pick. at least your putting your server into regard before you do ...

G-Yoshi, PM me. I might be able to help you with your NPCs. I am a pretty good scripter and I know almost all P2P scripting...

I feel the same way, for one thing Faheria has the SLOWEST NPC Server made. So basically if Stefan doesn't do something about this Faheria won't be as fun as it's supposed to with all the laggy npcs...and if he DOESN'T do anything..I'm just gunna give up on it because we are wasting all our hard work for it just to create the laggiest server ever. -_-

Actually, Providence's is worse. ;D

Stefan moved it to a new CPU yesterday and he was testing it and was like

"hmm"
"you are evil"
"providence npcserver takes the most CPU time ive seen"
"it takes more than the graal 2002 npcserver"

I know how you feel, you start getting them feelings right before you go currupt. Dont shut it down, just get new things going. Start something new.

Actually Stefan said that both Faheria and Providence run on the new server and take ALL it's CPU time.
I was on Providence NPC Server before, and saw a lot of ressource-wasting scripting (0.1 timeout loops and stuff)... and that is only on database NPCs... imagine all these local NPCs on FTP... err... it's not Stefan's fault that it is that lame.

:) I know this! Providence staff are redoing most of what you call the "resource-wasting" scripting to make everything run smoother. :)

it gives graal a way to waste bandwith..

I appreciate the sudden interest, but it seems that the last few times I have asked for help, I get little response...I don't appreciate this type of selective hearing...

Had I gotten the responses the last time I had asked for help, I probably wouldn't be having these kind of thoughts. If I do ask for you few to help, I want you to somewhat dedicated...I understand that you have lives (I do too + a job), so I know that no one can be on 24/7...not even I would do that.

I am sorry if I didn't remember those that I said I would...my mind gets cluttered of other stuff going on so I tend to forget.

i said it was a waste, if all its there for is just to feed the pleasure of toying around and stuff.

ive yet to see a p2p pw that actualy has a good world and uses its abilities for p2p well.

:( By the time I get my new computer, and I even get it, Doragon Koden will be gone. I think it has alot of potential, people just don't go on it much. There's hardly any people on P2P servers other than Graal 2001, because it has so much to offer.
Try to get some help, but if you are 100% sure it's hopeless, give up!

there are good worlds...mine would be if I had the help I need...but there are more people that do levels than NPCs...only because levels are very simple and most of those that do know NPCs only know the basics or offer me things I don't need (especially things that I could do).

I just really need some very talented NPC people to help me get my 2 major projects done then everything else should fall into the right place :) My skills and abilities are not enough to attempt it alone.
