jpg showimg + changeimvis 4 = no image?

~AlphaFlame~

Have I went insane or is this just not showing up?

showimg 201,bg.jpg,300,225;
changeimgvis 201,4;

I've got bg.jpg in the same folder as both the level itself and in the graal\levels\webgifs folder... yet bg.GIF will show up...

And no, I'm not gonna attach bg.jpg caus I'm a bit lazy right now XD

Don't use JPG for Graal. Use PNG or MNG.

or gif.

Yes, the image must be 4 bit or 8 bit,
not true color. Graal could support true color
images and jpegs, but such images would take a lot
more system resources and are normally
not really needed
(jpegs are only better than png if you compress
images of landscape or faces or such things)

JPEG quality is very low anyway personaly I always stick to GIFs

stefan, please do support for truecolor PNGs. It eats up 60% of my resources, what's another 50% eh?

Hmmm actually it would be possible,
instead of holding the uncompressed image
informations I could only uncompress it when
drawing the pixels on the DirectX surface,
might only be a problem with mngs
(uncompressing the stuff whenever the image
is animated would make it slow).

i really hate it when i have to go and change images over and over (dib) because the colors arent right..
