Graal E-Mail Newsletter...

I am bored...my mind is numb from lack of sleep...and I just plain have nothing better to do at this time :)

Anyway, I was thinking maybe someone could do a Graal E-Mail newsletter thing like Nintendo does? Really, this idea came to me a couple days ago but still :D The only thing that would be different is that it could be every week or every 2 weeks since a lot happens.

I talked to Zulithe about it and he said that GraalNet was going to or already had done something like that, but I am not sure >.<

Oh well, thanks for reading my idea :)

Psyker 12-15-2001 12:22 PM

you know, that would be pretty useful.

i hate checking into the graal2001.com site every day to check for new updates.

Torankusu 12-15-2001 12:23 PM

I hate checking m[edit]y[/edit] e-mail for dumb graal-news related stuff.

Qwert616 12-15-2001 12:25 PM

Sounds like a good idea

We had toyed with the idea, actually toyed with MANY ideas. But when GN shut down all that faded away. Vergil :(

I've wanted to work for another Graal News site for a while now but they are all substandard, so I sit vigilant :)

Torankusu 12-15-2001 12:32 PM

BY THE WAY,
DON'T START ARGUMENTS.
I WAS SIMPLY STATING WHY I VOTED "NO."

James205 12-15-2001 12:33 PM

I think it would be a great idea.

agree on what?

Torankusu 12-15-2001 12:35 PM

You stated that my attitude was crap because you want the newsletter, whereas I don't.

No, I was refering to your general attitude...it's 100% crap. You act as though you have a chip on your shoulder or something...

habek 12-15-2001 01:23 PM

yeah. i think an email newsletter is a good idea :)

G_yoshi 12-15-2001 02:26 PM

I guess the general impression I am recieving is that it's a good idea (how is that not obvious). Even though so few have commented on my idea yet.

I am not saying I will do anything, I am just throwing out an idea to see what results I get. If I actually do decide to try it out, I will need lots of help...I have a real life and so I am not always on :)

Spark910 12-15-2001 04:57 PM

I cant even get into my graal e-mail i4got my password i will go and try again now.

G_yoshi there are going to be negative comments, there isnt anthing wrong with them. Thats just his opinion.

Nastazio 12-16-2001 12:25 AM

G_Yoshi... I will help you with the newsletter if you need it. Just contact me or PM me on graal.

Sir Triclops 12-16-2001 02:32 AM

There have been graal newsletters before, I even had one. It doesn't ever last too long.

grim_squeaker_x 12-16-2001 04:54 AM

Hmm... Nah.
I prefer just checking the site for updates since that's usually faster then Hotmail anyway. ;P

Although I do agree that it might be useful if you have a POP3 E-Mail address. I'd quite like it if it was something like getting it send to your ICQ or whatever.

Yes, I know that :p I was only commenting on Toran's attitude in general since he always seems to be negative or appears to have something stuck in his ass :p

G_yoshi 12-16-2001 10:34 PM

*bump*

_0AfTeRsHoCk0_ 12-16-2001 10:47 PM

Good idea. And possibly people can submit articles to add to the newsletter too

G_yoshi 12-16-2001 10:53 PM

Yes, that is the general idea, but I think I would have a limit of 10 per newsletter and they are chosen on a first come, first serve basis, since a lot of stuff would be incredibly irrelevant.

12-16-2001 10:57 PM

I can start a graal newsletter... I was thinking about this like 2 weeks ago :) I am going to set up a page where you can join the news letter...

You should have different sections though. Maybe one of them would be designed specifically for role-playing and get two or three of those. Then get input from some staff, some general players and maybe Stefan (if he is not super busy) or even Unixmad (hey, anything is possible)

I think you need to just leave me alone :) Go find something better to do and let me have my fun. I already have a job btw.

I don't follow the social mindset that says I can't do what I want to do and that I am not allowed to have fun. Also, I think you ought to stop evading your ban :p

G_yoshi 12-16-2001 11:17 PM

I have a job too (thankfully)...I get paid about 7.02/hr and work about 17-33hrs each week. There aren't very many other jobs to find at this point, so I am happy I have one.

12-17-2001 12:01 AM

Okay I just got a good prog that sends out emails for the newsletter.... It will be from [email protected] and the subject Graal Newsletter. Now I need to work a thing out where people can sign/remove there self....

12-17-2001 12:11 AM

Okay got it.... I will set up a webpage and they can fill out some info, click submit, and then it will add them... to remove there self they will email me with the email they want removed... like if i want [email protected] removed, I will email a email with [email protected] saying 'I would like to be removed from graalnewsletter'.

G_yoshi 12-17-2001 12:33 AM

Um, I don't think I had invited you into my little project? I thank you for showing interest, but if I want any help I will most certainly ask for it :)
