Present The Solai Police Force. A joint operation between Alkaren and Antago.
Yes, Antago and I are actually working together. Oh my, strangeness. ;)
This thread is about the changing of the police force as we all know it. Yes I am still the police chief, but I have a different title, which I will explain later. The Solai police force is how Antago and I wish to help bring a bit of more role-playing to the server and to the police force. Police forces will now patrol their own "zips" or areas. Their juristication will not extend outside of their areas. If something needs to be done outside of their area they have to contact either the captain of that zip or another officer of that zip and request they do the thing. Now, captains is the title of the people who preside you could say over the zip, and are in charge of the police of that zip. I'll post the captains later. Also, Bogenera will now be the governmental city in a sense, it is where I, the judge and asst. chief will reside. The new police will not be on the staff list, as that will clutter it up, and new police stations are being built for the police of the zips. This also means I will be hiring police now, and I will be dividing the rest of the current police force into the other sections. Now, the captains Alkaren Hyralt: Bogenera Chief (Police Chief) Sparkplug: Bogenera Captain (Asst. Chief) Antago: Judge Nastazio: Bomboria Captain Iracious: Silvestrun Captain Enishi: Harmonia Captain Craig: Mt. Antora Captain Soto: Antora Appendage Captain Let me know if you have any questions, thank you. |
hey, that's pretty good. nice and organized.
|
Cool idea, bad name. ;) Maybe something with a few more letters... like Solaris? :p j/k
What about the area near Dustari and such? |
With each captains station in each division will they get their own police station?

Well said in the quote Warcaptain. |

Upmm yeah,
being like only active samurai, i should be police chief os samurai town :) |

Im the only one

That sounds good...

Police is not about roleplaying, just about doing staff duties on the server, we are basically moderators. Just last night I was thinking of ways how to REMOVE the little roleplaying we do already, I figured the best way to do that would be to rename "Police" to something else. But this... egh...
|
i like the idea and i want my own station =D

I think this is stupid.

So each area will have a Police npc that runs around it like Manny and Paul. Since Harmonia and Bomboria already have one, we just need a few more. :) There will be special stations for each police force (or zip). Solai is just a name I give to things that have anything to do with my "system of lands and isolation". It's an acronym and unimportant. Just a way to name the new system. This will also give more power to captains, yet less for policemen. Then the prosecution government, Bogenera (it's just the location.. or capital rather. Like Washington, D.C. and Area51), will be the higher of Solai. Each Captain is allowed to hire police -- with the acception of a "maximum". In Mt. Antora alone, 20 police can be hired by Craig. The more police an area has, the higher authority it will have. If I can get this NPC to work that controls the guildcodes and names (since Stefan added a maximum length to guildcodes.... grrrrrrrr) by setting the player's #n (rather than #g.. since, like I said, Stefan added a max length of monograms (or characters) in each guildcode), then Solai can start to go into effect. The only person being uncooperative (though he is now) is Sparkplug... =/ so I'm not sure HOW we'll manage the "tags". Perhaps Stefan could get on the NC and set it up or something. It would be nice to allow all the "captains" to appear in the Staff list to (and the chiefs).. As for the Judge, I merely just do court sessions :) and.. lovingly enough, executions! Max Police: Craig - 20 police Nastazio - 15 police Iracious - 20 police Enishi - 12 police Soto - 7 police Sparkplug - 10 police (although, this "is" the leading police force even though it's a low police number) Should there be typos or anything, I don't care. :) I'm not reading this over |
Warcaptain does not like me, and calls Antago's idea shitty, yet refuses to quit. Odd.
This I say to any police member who has no faith in Antago and myself, or who do not like the idea: quit. Haven't we gone through this all before, when I became chief? |

Now we'll have room for a different Captain when (and if) we open the Swamp station. |

i think the idea for hiring is a bit much, allmost half the server would be taken up with policejobs |
Quote:
If Iracious hates having his own station and reducing the "generality" (or a "graal classic (failure) system"), corruption, abuse, and inorganization, then he can quit. I'm sure there's other people would like to be the Captain. We used to have Captains back in 1.2... although they weren't setup in zip (and station) with this much power. This allows for more tracking (as in, tracking the activities of the police), levels, and organized towns and such. It's not to much of a "role-playing" fiasco as Iracious is liking to state it. That's just a tad bit of what it is.. though, it's more literal than "acting". |
Me should be captain of samurai town police force :P
|
12!! i need liek 5 all the police are getting mad exept me craig and bird =(. Iracious you beat me with your smarts =(
|
I'm against it. It's over ambitious, and interferes with the actual purpose of Police. I know Antago and Alkaren would love to be in the position of authority over a larger body, but...
Well, i'm not so against it I won't accept it. Just don't expect to roleplay with the kingdoms; we want our sphere left alone. |
Warcaptain needs to worry about his own server and staff. They aren't all that great...

But if the Captains still have to go to the source (the chief) to add their police, then it's not going to be that large of a difference. Alk isn't going to just allow you to hire 20 people in 1 week. It's more gradual and experienced :) This way, as the server grows, so does the police forces. You must grow trust from the police too..... and they don't have much power. Only the captains and Bogenera officials have the real "power" (excluding the Judge... hehe. I'm just a crazy man with an RC!). The police are more like Angels (aka messangers). They can possibly, in time, gain higher positions such as "recruits". Then they be able to do more. So then, if a captain gets fired for some odd reason, the #1 recruit would take over. Trust me, it's extremely organized. As long as everything is going through the captains and then through one head (the chief), then everything will be organized. Things used to be like when Galen did everything with the server. He even used to have an assistant for things to go through before it went through him. And if it fails, then I hereby "do" resign from crazyman. I am taking the responsibility of the situation. |

Kingdoms should beable to control their own areas
Thats all I need to say other than RIOT HELMET! |

That way it's organized, and by the time it reaches the top to Bogenera, it's all okay. I am, however, just Judge. I'll take responsibility of what goes wrong, but I will not act as if I am the Chief. It's all still under Alkaren's control. This is why I didn't put zips in kingdoms.. because it's "not" role-playing. I don't want it to be associated with it either. Nor, do I think, does Alkaren. |
ummm..
yah power to the people (me lolololol) cheese to the public |
Quote:
No one goes to Bogenera and yet it's the highest governed territory. Imagine if you will a coconut. Under it is Alkaren. Below him you'll find Sparkplug. Then each police branch will lead off. If something is found wrong in a zip, you'll go to that captain, the assistant, or the chief. Alkaren really must find a chief that is on all the time for this to work out "perfect". Otherwise, there is a minor problem with absence. -- which can be worked around. Each captain can jail a person in their zip for a trial. Then I, the judge, will (pathetically), waste an hour of my life sitting in the chair to host the court :) Then a jury will decide the fate. |
Quote:
Therefore, one function of this branched system is not only to limit power, but to "directly" organize player PAID account fates. |
