I should already know this but how do change bodies know ? Because 'setcharprop #8,body3.png' aint workin ....

maybe u had a typo..
try setbody body3.png
that used to work a while back

I think I read somewhere on the forums that #8 now is #4. Just try checking the new features text file.

also there are some bugs that occur when stting bodys on players and npcs so that could also be nyour problem if its not that change your talking about

yes it seems on some servers when you change your body u have to reconnect for the change to come into effect.

#8 works for me but only to a certain degree. When I play the level it doesn't show the body but once you go back to the editing mode, it shows.
