My Idea
I've finished my script for my server and I wanted some feedback so I'll tell you about it: I made a script so that you collect wood and you make a house then it provides a inside part. Then you collect more wood for items and materials in the house (I might add metal if I make blacksmithing a job). I'm excepting someone to say "You couldn't do that for ****" or "That's a lie". I just want ppl to tell me how they think of it. I remember a guy saying something about that idea one or two days ago, so I wanted to post this. And yes I know this should go in PlayerWorld or NPC Scripting.

Your kidding me?
right? it would have to somehow randomly generate a level then save it which is impossible unless you edit the whole graal program |
Hehe, it is quite possible, and not the hardest thing to do either.
|
no no..
He is saying that you can build a house and the npc will make a new level + upload it to ftp then update level with items in it? right? thats impossible |

no. i think he misunderstood what i was saying..
It is very easy to make a house that you can walk in.. but i dont think that an npc that can make a whole level then upload it to ftp and update it is virtually impossible |
Why do you need to waste space with a new level for every house?
Besides, I'm sure it's possible to just generate the level then upload it anyway. I'd have to experiment a little, but I bet I could make an uploader from graal. |
actually i tihnk it might generate the same house for everybody....i dont know exactly what he means though..
|
Couldn't you make it so there is only 1 inside level but the person who made the house can only see himself even when there is maybe 4 other people who made a house and it is there house to? Im saying like the people are all in the same level but can only see themselves?

I'd prefer a system where you start out with a normally uploaded, barren house level, and can add "furniture" via an edited rail-road-track-layer-downer. That's certainly possible.
