Another level editor idea...

~AlphaFlame~

Open double... so you could open two levels in the same screen... would be useful to make levels that connect on the map, so you don't hafta keep switching back and forth to make sure you're getting everything right...

even better would be something like paintshop pro with a side tool bar....we could have a link toolbar, and others...

He means to have a preview of the surrounding levels so they connect correctly on the map easier. He doesn't want what is already available; this "map" you are referring to in your post.

Hmm, while you're at it, could you fix the little bug where when you select miltuple tiles it doesn't show what you got till you put it in the level area, and you can reselect tiles, like in version 2.05. but still able to select multiple tiles.

royce 12-10-2001 07:34 AM

and how bout changing the sign index to making it wider....so you select it like the warp fields.....also do the same way with a non-blocking tiler and blocking tiler.....

Falcor 12-10-2001 08:25 AM

Yay, I can be excited b/c I know how to make levels now :D

royce 12-10-2001 09:43 AM

hey falados, have u noticed my sig yet?

adam 12-10-2001 02:58 PM

Don't forget the thing where you select which tiles are drawn over the player. and are non-blocking. or blocking.

selecting tiles to be non-blocking and drawn over the player would be super useful.

...wow stefan posts a LOT....

besides the block nonblock option the best possible thing to add would be a simple paint program to create your own tiles right then and there so you don't have to switch back a forth between programs.
