Why so much hate?
 

You know what is hardest about owning a playerworld? It's not all the work, but its dealing with all the hate. I havent been sheltered in my life or anything, but I never knew there was so much hate in the world, and you may say "this is only a game, and I'm not like that in real life", thats a crock. I could never act like alot of people on this game, in real life or on the game. What is ironic is, the hate is directed towards decent people. The corrupt people are respected and well liked, the good people who do what they are suppose to do, and try to do the right things are hated, and disrespected. Yes, I am 36 years old, I started playing this game 2 years ago because it was like Zelda, which is my all time favorite video game, and I thought it was cool that you could talk to and interact with people from all over the world. When I downloaded it, I didnt know that it was mostly kids, but I soon found out...I didnt care though because I loved the game, and I did talk to a few adults who played, and talked to alot of very nice kids. Even now, I love to get on my personal account and just be a player, pk people, have fun, its hard because of all the pm's from people dissing me, but I do it anyway, and plan on doing it more. I guess the purpose of this post is to tell people that I am not a bad person, and I know what kind of posts are going to follow, but I had to post anyway. I am trying very hard on Npulse, and thats all I can do, try to respect that and remember that making mistakes comes with the job, as long as you learn from the mistakes and move on, you will be fine.

People will judge you on your mistakes, deal with it. Its not the end of the world.

people shouldnt be judged period, and if they are, they shouldnt be judged for their mistakes, everyone makes them, if they are going to be judged, they should be judged by the mistakes they learned or did not learn from. ;)

I know what you are talking about.
There are a few options :

1 Stop reading the webboard (if you are talking about the posts there).

2 Leave Graal and start playing Ultima Online
(people are nicer to eachother there..less 14 year olds with hormones on the loose, no power to be gained over RCs...FTP, playerworlds and ran by adults or sensible youngsters without big mouths)

3 ignore it

4 get *****y yourself ( ban players that are unfriendly to you on your server, you dont deserve unfriendlyness, you work hard)

5 uhm talk to Stefan .. ask him to inforce the rules (no good in having rules if nobody enforces them) that are on the Graal website...people who make false accusations..flame people and curse at people online in the game OR on the webboard should be banned.

I tried 3 at first , then 4 (worked for a while but took the fun away), I didn't even bother to try nr 5, nr 1 doesn't work if you are a PW Owner so I have chosen 2

But do try 5 and 3....

People hate when u won't give them everything they want. such as staff npcs. They also hate when u put them in jail for hacking. I hope to own a PW one day and not have to deal with all this crap.

Well hate to burst your bubble but get ready for it for it WILL happen , all you can do is enforce the Graal rules and treat everyone the same.Do not play favorites for your "buddies or friends" this is a good way to ruin a PW. Make you own Staff rules and enforce them as well for no one respects anyone who constantly changes them just to suit themselves. In short treat ALL the way you want to be treated , with honesty and fairness, never judge too quickly and review all facts availible to you and you will be just fine. :)

I would laugh at that, but I'm not going to. Don't know Moon Goddess, but I know Hells Bastard is a good guy, or whatever his name is now. So just take this thread seriously, and show some respect.

With Graal, there is always going to be the element of hate, and it's something that has to be dealt with. The people of Graal reside in a diversity of the sophisticated, the non-sophisticated. A lot of people can be jackasses, yes it's true, but there are also a lot of nice people in Graal. I don't usually concern myself with those people who go out of their way to exorsize hate. Life, and time is too short to waste it needlessly on some Graalian who were to hate me without even getting to know me.

My advice: Just move on with life and enjoy Graal in the way you do. Don't let people spoil your fun. You have as much right to play this game as the next person does. :)
