Cursor Problems
Alright, I'll explain this the best I can.
When I play Graal, and it doesn't matter what server I am on, but since I've gotten my GeForce 2 my mouse/cursor disappears from the screen when it drags over the Graal window. Any ideas how to solve this? As it is really getting to me because I cannot select incoming PMs or close Graal without guessing where my cursor is. ~Judge~ |
Oh, I just found out, it's not only above the Graal window, it happens everywhere when I have Graal running..
This is really starting to bug me! Can anyone help!? |
I liek your quotes.. especiallt cloud_X :loev:

Problem with DirectX. Try upgrading to newest version.

alright, i just wanted to say that i've upgraded DX to version 81. and still no luck with fixing the problem. I'm open to suggestions.. |
Also, it only occurs when the actual playing mode is active, not the level designer.
|
You have also installed the latestt driver for your
graphics card? |

Switch to a plain white "Windows Default" cursor scheme.

That use to happen to me when I had windows 98.... it use to hide, blink fast, and more... but when I upgraded to windows 2000 pro, and upgraded my card drivers it stoped....
|
What gets me is that it only seems to happen in the gameplay mode, not when the editor is active. Also, I am currently operating on Windows ME, and I have recently bought a GeForce 2 (as stated earlier). The only thing I can think of is that my system cannot handle the GeForce, due to my processor only being about 500 mhz, but I don't fully believe that, because I have run games such as Starsiege Tribes, HalfLife, and other 3-Dimensional games, and the speed and quality has been improved.
|
Do you have the drivers for that installed? I think when you buy geforce it comes with a installer disk so you can edit your graphic options.
|
You should also update to the newest DirectX here, After you do that and restart go to Program Files/DirectX/Setup/ and there will be a shortcut named DxDiag. Open it up and test all your settings in it.

Just saying that halflife will most likely run on any machine, It was made back in 1995 :) Its still a top 10 game after 5 years, lol. That game will always be the best fps in my book. The mods will keep getting better and better. |
Half life is not from 95
You cannot play it in window mode and switching to another program is not recommended (will mess up the server list screen etc.). So the compatibility is more made by limiting the features. I bet we would also have less problems with gfx cards and stuff in Graal if there would only be the fullscreen mode and no window mode. The cursor can be a problem because normally DirectX hides the cursor (because it's made for games not for editors), so I need to show the cursor again, which can make problems (may be when setting the cursor it has a problem on your computer and hides the thing :/ ) |
