Staff

I dont think staff on 2001 is fair. To become staff you must have pre-existing staff support you which means only their friends ever become staff. That is very wrong. I think they need to give staff test :(

Anyone can be staff on Graal, if you work hard enough. Or in some cases, work is not required, just being corrupt automatically makes you eligible!

If you think you have some skills that are needed, like maybe graphics or script talent, show your stuff to some of the staff and maybe they can fit you in!

Yesterday I saw 9 FAQ online at once, anything is possible

Yesterday, I had a diamond axe and 200 gralat.

Now, I don't. Yes, anything is possible.

They are? Okay, if you say so.

You were making a reference to saying "Anything is possible."

I simply proved your statement.

Yesterday and today, when I got on Graal, I had about 200 gralat and my diamond axe. No problems.

When I got on just a little while ago, I was missing my 200 gralat and my diamond axe.

And it turns out that my 2000 gralat I had stored in Birdbird's house are now gone since he gave away ownership without notifying me so that I could take my damn money.

That's strange, who else has access to your account? Why not ask Loriel or someone to check the logs and see how they were removed?

Torankusu 11-25-2001 10:40 AM

jealousy.

I would if Loriel were on.

I'm getting the password changed, even though no one has access to my account.

I haven't given the pass, the new one, out to anyone. There was a period when I let Malak use the account, but then I changed the password. That was a while ago.

So, no one else has access to the account but me.

That's funny considering I've been offered various Graal 2001 staff positions in the past, and turned them all down :)

Then don't complain about the people stupid enough to accept.

AlkarenHyralt 11-25-2001 11:12 AM

Yes, anything is possible. After all, I made staff.

"Alky"? That's a new one. I'd much rather be called "Empy" once again, rather then "Alky". :(

Heh, well it was kind of a pun. Calling you Alky which sounds just like Alcy which is slang for alcoholic

I prefer the phrase 'mentally disturbed', in replacement of that.

Are you sure you don't mean mentally deficient?

FatherDante 11-25-2001 01:44 PM

Staff support is not a Graal principle but one implemented by lazy chiefs of staff to make it easier to cull applicants. Take it to them...

If you are a friendly charismatic player, the positions are there and ripe for the taking. Graal is one of the only games like it... they should change it's name to:
"Graal: Burning Ambition" because the real goal of the game isn't even within the game itself. >=) The goal is to become a wide beloved Graalian/corrupt staff member. It's kind of funny, really.

Zulithe, I remember a time when you refused to talk to me because you accused me of doing what you did (and that time I hadn't even actually said anything like that!)

Are your principles so flexible?

I somehow had a feeling you would comment on my reply ^_^ It all has to do with the reasoning behind it. He was trying to insult me personally, if someone is going insult me by calling me mentally deficient, at least spell it right or it's a case of the pot calling the kettle black, or, who REALLY is the deficient one?

Generally I do not make much of a big deal of spelling at all (obviously my spelling is not the best), I hope you see my reasoning now.

Of course we rather hire people for staff we know and trust, than those we have never talked to and people that harass us permanently and hate us ...
Personally I think that having to collect supporters for a staff position isn't that smart...

No, not anything. I'll never be staff on 2k1 because most people dislike me, are jealous of me, are too new to know who I am, or they just suck:p

People you know and trust? So basically only your friends?

I only rip on people that have personally wronged me in some way and I don't drag it out.

Yes I agree that having supporters for staff position is not the ideal way.

er, yeah..

or, you can post tons of witty comments, but eh.

Sir Triclops 11-27-2001 12:23 AM

Stefan, I got on Classic LAT that way. I was there for close to a year. I would rather not work with these guys though(meaning 2k1, not Classic, I'd go back to work on Classic). :(

No. I became staff with YOU by having the NPC Server idea and promoting it with players through Antago Press :)

I was on the first LAT team with Bomber39, NightLord, laser712, and LordScorpion because... uhm........... I don't know why. :p

I became graphics administrator and an LAT member "again" through making graphics and levels.

HOWEVER, whoever made those damn graphics on graal2002 needs to die a slow, terrible death..... and just before they leave, they must hand over to me their clever imagination.

To make those graphics that were made is no problem..... but whoever THOUGHT of making them that way is just one of the cleverest and imaginative people I have ever known. I really, indeed, love how the doorways curve inward too.

Now if only I had a Fax machine to get on the 2k2 team.......

Use the library's fax machine :D

Tyhm 11-27-2001 04:24 AM

On Classic anyway, the only way (and by that I mean THE ONLY WAY) onto LAT is by impressing a majority of the current level admins...takes sodding forever to get the votes in, but it's worth it.

Well.. my next door neighbor has one..... however:

a) Why must I have my parents "authorize" it? Grrr. Screw them
b) My "old" e-mail on my AOL e-mail account has disappeared because of the 7 day log thing...... =/ so I need Stefan to give me unixmad's Fax # again.
