Classic's Quadra-Graal Drive
 

Hey, has this ever gone up on Classic? There was a trapdoor in the dungeon of the castle a while back that I lagged through (normally, a Zorbi stands on top of it) and found myself in an odd level I can't say I really understood. It had the classic spaceship webgif hovering, and a sign mentioning Bruges, and harnessing the power of the four graals to activate the ship. Then, if I remember correctly, it began babbling about putting coordinates in, but I'm pretty sure I just confused that with something else.

Anyway, it seemed like it would tie in with a lot of stuff in Classic (the Quadra-Graal Drive replica, for one :rolleyes:) and I've never bothered to ask what it was meant to be before. It doesn't seem to have panned out, which is a shame, but I'm hoping Tyhm can cast some light on the matter.

It works, with the 4 Graals not currently in the game. One of my projects for winter break is moving the Golden Gate there.

So the QGD will replace the less-realistic and moreover ugly Golden Gate?

That's the plan.

Always found the golden realm a disappointment.

Yah...certainly some people will whine, it's an Ancient set of levels, but it's not loved and revered like Zol's Pub (though personally I think it's the concept of a simple social area, not the tiles that make it up, that causes this love for Zol's Pub). More like Snow Town, a few people will mourn but for the most part the change is for the better.

about 2 yrs ago i couldnt get there b/c the cup where the one graal was in the baddie town or something like that, well it never picked up! so i said screw that and played wit other crap...
