1) Signs are way too slow...why?
2) Why are there two Options menus? PM->Options and F1->Options...confusing
3) Sayable commands are a little weird. I mean, ideally, shouldn't we have a head chooser like the trade item instead of saying sethead head30.png? It hinges too much on the player going through their /levels/heads folder, too counterintuitive I think. I got one of my friends to start playing, and as I'm explaining it to him, even I'm thinking it's strange, and I'm the one who's used to it...same for shields and swords. Really no good reason for them to stay said commands-I figure it should be disabled, or prettier. ^_^

Signs on Graal2001? The problem is they are server-side,
only sent when needed.
The PM-options are in a special window because
they are special, may be now that there is the
tabbed option window it could open the normal
option window with the playerlist options tab
preselected.
The sethead/setbody etc. commands are like hacks,
normally it should be in-game (choosing one of
30 good heads or so). Normally people are not
changing their prefered head often so its not getting
a problem, don't know if a thing like the hat trading
item for heads would work if you want to select one
of >1300 heads.

Isn't it also a problem since all heads are not numbered? Like headlugie.gif (the one I use)

Maybe now is a good time to use that suggestion made long ago about breaking down the heads into seperate sections.. male, female, other.. or something like that.. It would take a lot of time, but it would be so much easier to find a head you want to use.

have a assigned system like 1 is male and 2 is female. and getting more advance down the line.

I actually went through all the heads and made an XL file of gender, accent colors, what it was, etc. about a month ago.

I suppose one could just go through the new ones in order of date, working backwards until you reach the point where I finished updating mine...then you'd have a database of every head on the server.

Alternately, just use something like the permaclothes, where you can save the X heads you like the most and toggle between them...maybe even sell upgrades that store more heads....^_^

And regarding signs, even offline and even on faster computers, they take a really long time to display. Much longer than shownpc. I touch a sign, there's a pause, then it comes up with all the text, then I press down, there's a pause, then the "flickflap" noise, then the next page, but it's agonizingly slow...same for the weapons "Q" menu, toggling between weapons. Is there like a sound file search that's timing out or something?

Which reminds me: lava.gani calls for a sound that, apparently, doesn't exist?

Well for heads, the only update I can currently think of is not a script but Graal actually has some sort of head changing window where it downloads the heads from the heads folder as you go browsing through. It would look for every head (even heads that are called myhead.gif).
The player would see the head then choose which one he wants to use. Also you could still keep so he can only change his head after 10 seconds. So what im saying is, the head would show to him but he would choose which he wants to actually set.

I think all the good heads and bad heads shoudl be weeded out. If a head looks like it is poorly done or no aproperate for graal (such as the hotdog head and the head that looks like a pile of trash) should be taken out. maybe we could get 500 good heads instead of 500 good heads scattered around with 800+ bad heads

Keep head1169.png, which is my head, which was stolen from me and uploaded by a guy named Speed, and which KawaiiSaria said she would take down, but 5 months later still hasn't.......
