MySQL fixed itself. Still faulty coding causes it to happen.

No, it's not ok. If it does that, it is not ok. Faulting coding may eventually lead to even worse things happening, like no one being able to post on the forums for several hours or more. It needs to be fixed, and so does the ModCP.
