I'm also not going to RP or stay around as much anymore.

People obviously played Graal and ignored the "RPG" tag it was classified under.

If you're going to play Graal, the least you could do is respect the fact that most of us are here to RP. Stay out of our RP world and do not tell us what we can and cannot do. Leave your insults and hatred elsewhere. Much of us do not agree with your critical views of everything. =/

Also note that everything I say is usually sarcastic and humorous. A lot of you take offense to anything and everything I, and other people, say.. I am guilty of this as well.

Like they say: "You can't go home again."




I'll see you tomarrow in the next Graal's Anonymous meeting for those who are just not quite AAs.
And if you throw me an e-mail about Graal, let it be on your own head if I begin to addict myself. :)

I say that if Ant quits, he shouldn't take the game seriously. So long as he keeps playing he can take it as seriously as he wants.

Quiting Graal is pointless. It's more like taking a vaction or leave from Graal, because everyone comes back at some time, maybe just to check the updates on the site, but they still come back.

Second, Graal has been and mostly still is more of an adventure game then RPG.

Antago always says he's leaving (for good), but never does.

Not to sound like a guy who's never RPed in his life, but "taxing" people for attacking you/walking through Bogenara isn't really good RPing.

The reason I hate rping on graal is because of people like antago.

Just because I don't want to RP makes me a stupid thoughtless ***** in his eyes I guess. :rolleyes: I would respect RPers if they respected me.. but antago doesn't seem to do this..

You want us to leave you alone, then stop barging in all over the server with your roleplaying.. I don't want to be a part of it and just because I don't want to be, you say I'm getting in the way and stuff.. If everyone doesn't want to be included in your stupid wars and roleplaying, then shut up and take it somewhere else.

Don't push it on everyone and force them to deal with it. Graal is more of an action/adventure game.. not rpg.. it has SOME rpg elements.. but from the beginning its been action/adventure.. you go on adventures and quests.. and there is a lot of action.. it was never, and will never, be about kingdoms and holier then though kings and stupid imaginary rules.

If you want to play an rpg play something with turnbased battling, with pre-programmed action.. because graal is more action/adventure based then rpg. :o

I agree that graal is traditionally three things:

(1)An action/adventure game
(2)An avatar chat server
(3)An instant messaging service

But I digress on the point of Antago's roleplaying having no place on newmain. The roleplaying is one of the things that draws me to click Graal2001 when I am on the server list, not just go to Classic and use my P2P account solely for the fora.

If he said all kingdom owners get 10% of the revenue, sure, I can see that, but just him? Two parts, No and Hell No. And if it's an option, you can pay the mafia 10% or they can break your knees, sure, that's fun, you can work on being sneaky and running away from them, fighting back, getting everyone to wait in ambush and steal the money back from their corpses, but if it's compulsory? Hell no!

I've been in several games where the GM is a player. Though it is somewhat difficult, since you have the power to make yourself super-powerful.

I played games where the gamemaster was a player and like, he helped people. I used to be a game master on a server *cough*Mithica*cough* for a shortwhile and I was a player. I don't like how Antago is taxing people who pass through Bogenera. *I still have the Bogenera Logs!* I also own you in Metris, Antago! I am the ultimate Metris King!Muahahaha! Oh yeah, you are more than welcome to come RP on Providence. :D

A. just by playing graal your RPing, you dont have to be some soret of superpowerful hero to be RPing,
everyone running around working and trading are all RPing,
and are basically axcting just l;ike most civilians do...

B. By trying to force you into paying, obeying rules, and joining his army he is RPing, he is playing a character who wants everyone to do it his way, becuase he thinks his way is the best
(In the real owrld its this way, obviously you wouldnt have ideas on how to do somehting if you though it was the worst way to do it... everoyne thinks there idea is the best, until they are convinced otherwise, hey look at the vietnam war,
half the soldiers felt they shoulnt be fighting that war,
they were fighting because the executivce officials thought they should be fighting, obviously they wanted to kick some Vietnam ass, but if given hte option they would have all been at home with hteir families... but the people in charge had an opinion,
and the soon to be soldiers, were drafted and did what they were told, and others didnt, they ran...
you can choose for your char to be a law abiding citizen,
and one that does what he is told,
or you can choose to be fugitive, or an opposition party person...

no matter what you do your RPing whether you realize it or not...

I think you have a bad definition of Roleplaying.

Roleplaying is when you assume a certain character. The character is to act like itself; not like you. The character is to always STAY in character, and not talk about things on Graal. Some people on graal talk about school, work, becoming a staff member, etc. That's NOT roleplaying. Saying "I have four hearts" also isn't roleplaying, because if you really were that character, you wouldn't know how much "health" you had left.
