Better Bodies
 

Is it just me, or is the novelty of running around Graal looking like a deformed midget with a strikingly disproportionally sized head starting to wear off? Just for once, I'd like the rest of my body to be taller than my head.

What I'm getting at is, would it be at all possible for taller and somewhat larger bodies than the ones currently on Graal to be released? Would it interfere with any doors, or such? I can see ganis potentially being a problem, but I'll let someone more qualified tackle the subject --- I'm highly gani-illiterate.

Just a thought.

yes the ganis would be messed up
and then it would probally make the whole proportion of the game off
the gani part would need new ganis for taller bodies as the x y position of gfxs in the ganis would need to be different

remember what game Graal is based on... we look like that...

and whats wrong with looking like a midget
i mean if you think about it the players on graal aint really that small
there about the size of the doors if not bigger
take a look a one of the doors in your house

so really the graal char is a big 8ft monster

What do we look like? Cheezy Zelda wannabes? Have you seen those little characters Konidias posted a while back? 10x better, by far. I really hope New World can remedy this particular flaw, if normal Graal can't. :(

It isn't that I stopped making it.. it just has a long way to go until it's ready for beta testing and I didn't want to be bothered with questions about it until then.. So don't pm me about them please.

I would much rather prefer seeing those sprites on Graal than the normal body images. If the bodies you showed us, used something like setcoloreffect to change colors, then we would have something much better than the normal Graal sprites. I've been saying this for a long time now.

im not saying they wouldnt be good
infact i would really like to see them in the game but it would be like starting all over again
all the tiles would need to be made bigger, all the ganis would need to be remade, heads would need to be remade, lvls would need to be edited
it just really is too much work
just wait for NW
see what they do

That is strikingly horrifying.

On another note: Graal is a cartoonish game. It is based off of a small fraction of real-life physics.

The bodies "Are" taller than the head. However, with the 45 degree angle of viewing, it appears almost "vice versa".

To prove this, I want you to face upward as a human and slash your sword. If your sleeves are colored differently than the body/belt/shoes and they are not all black or something (I don't feel like describing an elimination of possibilities), then you will see for a short second the right pant leg.
