Actually the new tileset is not in test3

here it is

BUT there might be an even newer tileset in the final 2.1 which some believe will be released later today (I really hope so...)

Just save this to your \graal\ directory and overright the original, and make a backup of it in case you want to switch back

Stay with the old one. The new tileset makes level editing so much more frustrating.

How? It makes everything look MUCH more eye appealing.

Your talking about the bricks on the houses right? It's not that much of a problem. You just need to match it up...
I like the new look of the tile set...

Also gets tiring really quickly.

And I am sure that the old trees (Which looked like big poles with trampolines on them.) were NOT BORING AT ALL.

When they're as plain as they are, no, they don't get boring.
I would much rather prefer plain trees over detailed trees which do not mix well when used as a FOREST

Looks fine as a forest to me. I actually like the much needed change of graphics, the other ones get boring after staring at them for a year.

Yeah, I am. It just isn't worth the effort, when tiling is so much easier with the old tileset. Plus, the trees don't tile well at all.

Qwert616 11-04-2001 03:47 AM

Well if you compare the bricks against the tan wall with the darker streak in the middle. The bricks look better in my opinion...

Instead of replacing tiles, let's just add onto the tiles so we can have more variety :)

I remember GraalOnline changing the Castle stair tiles 3 times. They could have just added them to the tileset...
And all of the tiles on other servers which rock!, let's add them to the tileset!

Yeah, instead of changing the tile set entirely it should just be added onto. So there would be more looks for houses, etc

Exactly! Variety is what I want out of the tilesets ;)

**ADDED**
I also think it would be cool if we could have animated water. I'm tired of putting a wave tile in the water and feeling like I had stopped time when I pressed the play button in the editor :(

Most likely the recycled ones that were used on so many worlds in the past.
