level name truincation
when i double click a level like whatever.graal when it is loading into graal the name is read as something like whate~1.graal which messes up scripts that are based on the level name, if you open it from the load dialog, its just fine

You need to upgrade your windows :D
Normally by default it starts the right pogram for the file type and gives the long filename as parameter, may be you need to edit the file type in the folder options |
thats like old school MSDOS where it only supported 9 or something characters in names hehe..
also Graal should make all level names lowercase (if it doesnt yet) x.x |
8.3 (8 letters, a dot, and a 3 letter extension), and it does force lowercase now, I think

I use win98se, and I will try stefans suggestion about the file association settings.
|
Can someone tell me how they set up their assocition, I want to see if I did it wrong. I fooled around with the settings and still can't get it to work right.
|
Just first start Graal instead of instantly letting it open a file.
That or upgrade to a newer version of windows. |
i know for a fact not everyone with win98se has this problem
