I miss the music! Graal Classic has music, so do many other servers. Why doesn't Graal 2001 have some cool new tunes? I know there are a few places that use music but its not taken advantage of in a global sort of way.

It would really help set the atmosphere and make it even more unique than it already is.

I am waiting for WMA8 though, then we could have super-high quality music at 1/3 the size of mp3s!

I hope that you are reading this Stefan ;)

Hmm, I'd like to be able to hear that music, but Graal doesn't automattically download music and ToT hasn't got a midi pack to download :(

Do you need WMP8 to be able to use them?

Zulithe 04-20-2001 12:14 PM

No, it works on Windows Media Player 7 and 6.4

Crono Illusion 04-20-2001 12:17 PM

Good, because I remember hearing somewhere that Windows Media Player 8 was only going to be included with Windows XP and not available for public download.

P.S. Godspeed I'm happy that someone out there feels very strongly about music and its importance in Graal. I would love to hear samples of the music coming to your server, maybe you can post some when they are available?

Psyker 04-21-2001 07:31 AM

I always thought music was an important element to Graal.

For example, going to a bar or grill with no music... dull!

Thak2 04-21-2001 10:06 PM

Yes, good music makes graal much more enjoyable!

FatherDante 04-21-2001 10:14 PM

Good music would be nice but I'm skeptical towards Graal getting great music at any time. But... it remains to be seen.

I have gathered some very good midis. Once I get a good midi editor I plan to edit them and make them even better.

Nothing rocks quite like Martian Rabbi Chainsaw Massacre.

Instructions:
1) Find every Hava Nagila variation midi you can find on the internet
2) Open your good 'ol DOOM folder
3) Replace every midi in the music directory with renamed Hava Nagila midis
4) Play Doom with the Chainsaw and Invulnerability codes.

Martian. Rabbi. Chainsaw Massacre. Ooh yeah.

RawPower 04-22-2001 03:20 AM

yea like if you watch this great movie it wouldnt be the same without great music. It sets the feel of the scene.

milotheman 04-22-2001 08:53 AM

i like music 2

Psyker 04-22-2001 11:36 PM

I usually use midis from RPGs in my levels.
Saves me time from making my own midi :D
