this brings me to my next issue ... do seteffects work offline ?

Yes they work offline.

i still cant see the little buggers ! ... cand some, who can see light effects offline, please send me a list of all there options they have selected ? Just post here

light effects should work as long as you have "Do Not Use DirectX" unchecked.

try switching to 16bpp btw, that might fix it (display settings).

There are 2 lights when you start the offline mode :-)

but when i disable directx8 my graal loading time from when i click training and the turtorial shows up takes longer than when its checked .... :(

here are all my settings i have checked:

joystick support
music support
use winamp for music
save downloaded images (to\levels\webgifs)
dont show decompression errors
dont use UDP for data packages
limit the length of nicknames to (50)
dont use directinput
sound fx's enabled
ignore toalls

maybe you can help me from this ....

could be ur video card.. so download latest drives.. if that doesnt work u cant do nething about it

hmm i am pretty sure voo-doo2 technlogy can handle graal that's why this is a mystery ... To Stefan: It's illegal to make gifs that allready have poperties similar to lighteffects right ?

hmmm ...

well when lighting effects first came out i could see them for about the first 3 days till i upgraded my video controller driver and since the new versions have a disconnection(doesn't work with direct x directly) i cannot see them (yes intel sucks...very badly)

according from what i've heard light effects don't show up in voodoo/2
