I'm so sorry Stefan for that typo! I'll be more careful for now on. I fixed it. :)

Hmmm, about your comments:
previously it has only set the hat if the other player
didn't wear a hat, but without that limitation it is more
fun. May be it should only be enabled in
sparring rooms for give-hat tournaments?

I haven't tested it very much but how about this:

It will only trade hats with another player if both players are using the trade hat npc at the same time? So if one player doesn't have the trade hat npc selected it won't switch his hat.

That would prevent people going around and forcing other players to take the hat that they are wearing. I know it sounds silly but if someone wanted to be a pain they could go around doing that to people for fun.

But is meant for giving the hat to other people,
no matter if they have an item

Brady2 05-17-2001 11:15 PM

please don't change it, we use the thing for an event called hat war

Okay Stefan. But I was wondering...

This NPC is gonna cause problems. Lets say I am wearing my Paladin helmet for example. If someone touches me with the hat NPC it will make me wear whatever hat they are wearing. Then I have to walk all the way back to the castle to get the hat I want to wear back, see? I know it is a good NPC for tournaments but other than that it will just be an obstacle :(

How about make it like this:

If you have the give hat npc selected (so that it appears at the top of the screen) then you can give hats and receive hats

but if you don't have it selected then you can't give hats or receive hats

that way you can walk around and not worry about someone 'stealing your hat' (which is basically what they can do)

Hat thefts arn't fun =(

Lugie 05-18-2001 12:30 AM

errr, the hat thing is annoying because i have to run back to the hat place every 2 minutes to get my *****iness back.

Chrismas 05-18-2001 12:57 AM

Sethat

No I meant I oculd make it so
that giving the hat is only possible
if the other one currently doesn't wear a hat,
except in sparring rooms where it would be possible
(or in special fun rooms)
